Thinking I'd like to try PIAA wipers, either the Si-Tech (beam) or the Aero Vogue (hybrid). Unfortunately the PIAA website doesn't seem to list any specs for our trucks. The last info I can find on PIAA's website is from 2009 to 2018 the F-150 had 9x4 J-Hooks. Very possible it is different on the 14th gen.

Checking somewhere like Autozone, or Amazon, they both state Aero Vogue "does not fit your 2023 F-150". Tire Rack seems to indicate that it DOES fit our trucks. Same part number PIAA wiper on all these websites. o_O

PIAA's instructions for Aero Vogue indicate that it works ONLY with the 9x3 J-Hook style wiper arms.

I cannot for the life of me figure out if the 2021+ trucks have the 9x3 or the 9x4. Even searching how to measure the wiper arms on the truck and determine the size isn't very clear to me. The wiper arm part number is ML3Z17526A and I can't find a spec searching the part number either.

Anyone here have success running Aero Vogue PIAA wipers, or know with certainty whether we have the small 9x3 or large 9x4 style J-Hook wiper arms?

FWIW , asking Google "Are 2022 f150 wiper arms 9x3 or 9x4 j hook?" yields:

" 2022 Ford F-150 wiper arms are a 9x3 J-hook size. While some universal blades fit both 9x3 and 9x4 J-hooks, the specific factory-equipped size for the 2022 F-150 is 9x3. "
Take that for what you will, of course.

Me, I'm happy to run the specified Motorcraft replacements, whatever they are, they work.

Appreciate that. I also asked AI and got the same answer I just have had AI lie to me on multiple occasions so I don’t really trust it.

Ordered the Aero Vogue. Figure if it fits I’ll use them. If not Autozone will take it back.

Hoping they’re solid. Apparently can replace just the silicone blade portion going forward for much less than an entire brand new blade. If they’re not good, I’m really no worse off I’d be buying another brand new set in the future anyway.

The Motorcraft from factory I thought were decent but didn’t last super long for me. Bought Costco Michelin last year and they’re now streaking badly and leaving a gap in the middle of the driver wiper on the downswipe. Almost like there isn’t enough downward pressure from the wiper arm or something. Little bit of chatter too.

We’ll see.

Fair enough.

I replace blades annually as a course of habit / cost of car ownership, whether 'needed' or not. For me the Motorcraft perform good for that year, maybe they'd go longer, but for me the preventive maintenance approach is an acceptable cost to ensure I always have a clear windshield and quiet wipers. Sorta like I view tires which I replace before the tread is down to the wear-bars.

YMMV, no worries! :)
