iPhone says it’s not connected

I noticed is my radio shows it’s connected to CarPlay and it’s fully functional, but my phone says it’s not connected to my truck. Anyone else notice this too? I’ve attached pics

I’m not certain CarPlay is BT.
Might be wireless. Or, do you have it plugged in??
Not a fan of it myself, I just use the BT to listen to music on the phone.

Only time I Use CarPlay is if I wish to send Maps or Waze to my display. Not very often at all as I’m pretty sure where I’m going most of the time.

Pretty sure Car Play uses as a WiFi connection to the phones, as it is fairly often that my phone connects Bluetooth just fine, but struggles to connect to CarPlay. Thus I believe if you are connected via CarPlay you are disconnected via bluetooth. But these are only my assumptions and understanding of the system, I do not know for a fact that is how it all works.

Many, including myself, have disabled the wireless CarPlay and only use it wired. Much more reliable, charges your phone, and slightly better sound quality.
