The description of something rubbing on the tire is very accurate… My noise was always above 30 mph… I tried the 4 to 2wd method a few times and I can’t seem to be able to replicate it anymoreI am noticing a similar issue as many of you posted, however I am noticing it more when I am slowing down and hit about 20-25 mph. To me it sounded like something rubbing on the side of my tire but that was obviously not the case. It does seem to be worse for a short time in the morning. I was even watching my transmission temps thinking it was something in the tranny considering I didn't notice it after it warmed up. I have not messed with switching back and forth between 2h and 4h since I notice it when I am slowing down more than anything.
Anybody else notice it while slowing down (starting at about 25 mph)?
Hey there. I can look into your F-150’s noise concerns on my end if you’d like. Will you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership info?I am noticing a similar issue as many of you posted, however I am noticing it more when I am slowing down and hit about 20-25 mph. I guess we will find out! If any major-ish repairs (or ones impacting drivetrain or drivability) are needed within a break in period, it sure would be reassuring gesture to be offered a highly subsidized and/or complimentary extended warranty as a means of allaying any concerns about longevity and demonstrating confidence in the brand ? and really, an extended warranty would just bump us up to what people have been getting on Korean cars for over 20 years.Does anyone know if this damages anything? Mine did it 2 days in a row with temp below 32 degrees. Both started about 5 miles into my drive. The first day I drove longer with the hum. Stopped went to 4H then back to 2H while in park. Drove and about 15 seconds later the hum stopped. 2nd day once I heard the hum did same thing drove and about 15 seconds again and hum went away again. Both days on the way home when it was warmer no problems.

I got the latest OTA update and temps are rising. Today was the first time above 35F since owning this truck and it drove totally smoothly… barely imperceptible vibration / grinding in the gas pedal, if at all. So, temps absolutely do affect this issue. Hoping that the IWE fix on Thursday or whatever else they do can fix this once and for all. Is that wishful thinking?I just realized that the software upgrade happened a few days ago. Before that I had no problems and I went to work a few days below freezing with no problems. I wonder if the new upgrade changed something. Because since then the problem started. I drove to work today and it was 48 degrees and everything was fine. I put it In 4wd and it worked with no hum. I put it back In 2wd and everything was good. Just a thought.
