Maybe. But I have some history working at a ford dealership so I have a pretty good idea what maybe happening. Dealer can run vin and symptom codes. My complaint was almost textbook on that bulletin

It has been above freezing here all week and I haven’t heard it. Back ordered parts were found to be at the shop within the same day. However no loaner available until after first of year, so I wait. No worries.

The melt down caught on dash cam of the tech freaking out about the auto hold feature was pretty damn funny. Probably how my bumper ended up damaged, who knows! Haha

so I picked up my truck at the dealer tonight they called the Ford hotline said they’re supposed to be upcoming fix in the future with the IWE‘s and possibly a software update

if you go to your dealer and they put the parts in off the latest T TSB, I am guessing you’ll still probably have the same issue

Dealer dropped the ball and did not have a loaner available like they stated they would less than 24 hrs ago. This appt. Was made around a loaner being avail. Had a foot of snow in Indy this week, 4x4 still works, it also makes the noise while engaged in 4wd, intermittent, just like when it’s not engaged. Junk.all junk.

I would set up another appointment to get a documented and go down that road because obviously there is a problem Ford’s aware of it just a question of getting it fixed and updated

Just wanted to add to this thread, my 21 lariat 3.5 has been having the IWE issue for more than a year now. Taken it to the dealer two times to specifically have them look at it for the grinding/rubbing sound that happens when I slow down and hit 20mph and below, doesn't stop until the truck comes to a complete stop. Of course both times the tech drove it, they couldn't replicate it, but it is continuously happening every day I drive my truck, more prevalent in colder temps as well. Truck has just under 32,000 miles on it, hoping @Ford Motor Company issues a recall/TSB sometime soon so we can get this replaced. Will be taking it to the dealer again next week to hopefully get it replicated and moving towards a fix.

I can only assume they are using parts that will fail again. Considering this goes back to at least 2013 at a quick search.

I just called the dealer last week. And there was nothing out yet. I have 2023 3.5 150 w/4500 miles on it, does it in temperature below 32 degrees, the dealer did the latest TSB last month replaced both IWE and cleaned and polished CV splines but truck still had the same problem. I guess have to wait till fix is available. There has to be a lot of trucks in the northern cold area that have the same issue

keep us posted. I have the exact same issue. 2024 F150 XLT with 5.0. Only 1500 miles. Sounds like something rubbing, but goes away in 20 to 30 seconds at around 45 to 55 MPH.
They could not replicate the noise/vibration, figured that. But after talking to the service rep she found a a SB that identified the IWEs, possibly. Anyway, they just replaced them, pick up the truck yesterday and it made the noise on the way home. getting frustrating at this point. Just not sure what to tell them. There is no light that comes on to tell them what is it so... not sure what else to do at this point.

On my last work order from the dealership it noted that they have experience the problem. They called Ford hotline and that they know about the problem and that they’re supposed to be a new software update forthcoming and it sounded like new IWE‘s were in production, but I believe that when I see it Believe me, I’m tracking this close. This is a new truck for me too. It’s kind of frustrating. I got rid of a 2017 F150 5 L that was in perfect shape traded it in for this problem. What’s reassuring I emailed Ford motor company through this forum and they got back to me and opened up a case number and sent stuff over to the dealership so they are quite aware of it and Ford motor company does monitor this site for social media issues I’m not sure if they do it anymore, but they did late last year.

Quick scanning of the last few pages posts and I think this at least 2 customers, maybe 3, that have had TSB 24-2189 performed and almost immediately the problem occurs again??

Anyone with actual success with 24-2189? I'd like to think another TSB or software update could be coming but I sorta doubt they would have issued 24-2189 if it didn't solve the problem.

My truck hasn't done it once this winter still. Its January and I live 100 miles from Canada and it hasn't gotten cold enough to do it. Its insanity with the lack of winter here this year.

FYI the problems going back to 2013 I think are slightly different. Yes, they're IWE but my understanding is before 2021 it was a problem with vacuum leaks. 2021+ is electric so there is something else going on now.

I had the latest TSb done in the truck did it right away again so they called Ford hotline and I have it on my work order stating that there’s possibly a new software update coming and new IWE‘s in production but I believe that when I see it
