A couple of days ago I noticed an annoying rattle coming from the center console. I think I have isolated it to the interior work surface latch/clamp region. Anybody else experienced this? I cannot see anything that is visibly damaged.

Just to give you a bump. I have the work surface and it does not rattle at all. I do not use it regularly though so take that with a grain of salt. Good luck.

Rattles, no matter how small, bug the s*&t out of me. :)

Mine didn't either until two days ago. I have rarely used it.

I had some glass fragments get into mine when the windshield and sunroof were busted by a falling limb in an ice storm earlier this year. Everytime I would open the center console it could hear what sounded like rocks tumbling around.

I fixed it be removing the visible screw on the bottom / inside near the hinge and gently bending the plastic out and putting a vacuum to it to suck out the pieces.. I think they got in through the gap between the cushion and the rear cup holders
