Installed new Intercooler - P05B0 CEL

Hey guys,

I recently installed the CVF Titan V2 intercooler on my 2024 powerboost… part of the install process requires removal of the lower AGS (active grill shutters). I had a check engine light pop up after install and it is P05B0 which is related to the AGS. I’ve looked for information on this and it seems the previous years may not have triggered a CEL. Anyone have experience with this and know how to fix? Thanks!

Same here, installed new V2 intercooler last night, left the actuator plugged in and just removed the slats. CEL is illuminated on the dash

Pretty sure to keep the code from popping up you have to remove the shutter motors from the assembly and plug them into the harness, then zip tie the motors up out of the way. Otherwise you will get this code popping up and there's no way around it as far as I know.

I got you on this: So I removed all my shutters to relocate the CCM within the grill to add a custom bumper. There is one shutter on each side that attaches to the actuator and moves the rest with a rear pully bracket. I kept one shutter on the passenger side (as my Lariat grill covers that one anyway) so that it wouldn't trigger the exact same DTC you're getting. The lower shutter on the bottom active grill is the one that the actuator moves. You'll need to remove the rubber piece around the shutter assembly and trim a little in order to fit that massive new intercooler. Keep that just that one shutter on with the actuator, and no more DTCs (once cleared, of course).

There is also a relocation kit that you can buy that fixes this. It says for Raptor models but I can’t confirm it does work with F150. Here’s the link:

I just ordered it today after installing the cvf intercooler my f#$% engine light came on hopefully this works I'll keep the team posted should get it by Thursday.
