I know some people have solved this with a firmware update using FRDS or Forscan. I ran into a problem when I tried with Forscan.
My module had the most current version of the firmware so I wasn’t sure what to do but my OCD wouldn’t let it go. I decided to try force overwriting the firmware with the same(most current)version.
It worked and I think the reason was the ECM has the old module information stored in it and when I overwrote the HVAC Forscan also updated the ECM with the current HVAC module information.
Hopefully this helps someone else at some point. I know I searched all over for information about this code.

@ongrade can you elaborate in how you did this? I recently put in a new heating steering wheel along with new sccm and hvac module in my 23' Tremor, and am now stuck with this U2024 DTC on my hvac module...although everything appears to be working properly. I would like to try your resolution but not sure where in FORScan (v2.3.65 free extended license) to try and force overwrite the fw. Any help is much appreciated!!

@ongrade can you let me know how you fixed this? I have the same DTC. Thanks!
You need to side-load the HVAC firmware with FORScan beta. The files for the 3.5/5.0 are the same, but the files for the PowerBoost are different.
