I looked at the details in the instructions, and it operates on 1.1 Amps, so it can be operated off of the 400W AC power outlet on the truck.

Funny, and sadly true at times.

However, it's the holiday shopping season and there are warm bodies to be found at my local HD.

Where are these inflators? The clueless person took me to someone else who didn't know, who took me to the person that actually knew where they were.

That works for me! ??

Come back and let us know how it works. I have the Husky 1 gallon silent compressor for the truck and it is outstanding ($140) but substantially more. It is a very small "regular" type compressor but exceeded my expectations. I think I would like to get this 12v version for the wifes car if it works and does not take an hour to fill a tire.

Nice find and let us know your thoughts about this model.

120v version gets 17 inch power cord.

12v version gets 13 foot power cord.

Yes, I saw the 1 star review/rant about the short power cord of the 120V model.

However, I actually prefer it this way.

My main use for inflator is mostly for when we are out with our travel trailer. I'm hoping to replace the bulkier and heavier Viar 12V unit we currently use.

Since my tow vehicle is a Powerboost I always bring an extension cord along. To my thinking, it doesn't make much sense to have 120V power wherever you go if you can't get the power where it's needed*.

So the shorter the cord, the less space it will take up under the rear seat. Also, I suspect my relationship with the extension cord will be better than with 25 FT coiled air-hose that came with the Viar.

At home I think I'll mostly be moving the inflator to what needs inflating, rather than the other way around. So even if the 120V model had a 13 FT power cord I would still often need to employ an extension cord. Again, I prefer the short cord to simplify storage and minimize footprint.

Having an auto-retracting reel type extension cord mounted in the garage is helpful as well.

* It would be cool if some day, in some way, my Powerboost (+ext. cord?) would save the day for someone we come across in our travels.

Will do.

Though not until after our trip to visit our brand-newest grandson!

Maybe I should post pictures to compete with @Snakebitten! ?

Nice find!

If it seems to be solid unit I'll repost for the non-powerboost crowd here.

Reviews do look good overall. Having only the 400w it would be a useful item for me. Easier than dragging out my larger compressor when at home too.

At least it's better than Lowe's used to be. Had 2 dudes watch me load down an 8' pickup bed with quick-crete, 4x4s, 2x4s, 2x6s, and OSB board to a nice squat. THEN one of them comes over and says real smartass like "I need to see your receipt!". Ya'll I shamed my poor Mother right there in public with the cussing I gave that man. I told him you two stood over there in the shade while I did your f***ing job. He threatened to call the cops and I said go ahead and when they get here you can explain to your job why this load is on the ground in front of the door while me and Dad are in there getting a refund and calling corporate. Funniest part is the dude Dad was talking to was an off duty cop and he had a good laugh.

What is nice about those short humans is they can clean the low stuff easy so the old knees get a break. Wheel boys and wheel girls go a long way for an old timer. :)

Enjoy that little grandkid! They don't stay that way for long.

Thanks for the tip on these Husky inflators. Bought two of the 12v, two of the 120v. Seem pretty nice. Heavier than expected, but nice compact size. Will give them a good look-at and will probably keep at least one of each.

At this point, will probably just stick with what we have been using as the primary inflator we keep with our vehicles: the Craftsman V20 inflator.
https://www.craftsman.com/products/cmce520b/v20-cordless-inflator-tool-only

Yes, significantly more expensive, but lighter and really capable. And one doesn't need to be concerned about plugging in.

But nice to have choices....
