Hum/Rumble Noise in high gears - Any Help??

I've got a 2022 Powerboost with a similar problem, and I'm also not getting any check engine lights or codes. truck surges 200-400 RPM. The dealer told me tthat what I'm experiencing is the torque converter doing its job to optimize fuel efficiency.

I'm not convinced that's the explanation, though. It's hard to believe that the torque converter would start behaving this way suddenly, especially since i put 62k on it with no issues.

if anyone has any insight the help would be appreciated.

It is what it is. I took out an extended full warranty until 100k because I don’t trust ford. I drove chevys for years and never took out an extended warranty
Pulled a 6k trailer today for the first time with surging issue that started 4k miles ago. Surging was more aggressive and felt like the truck was overloaded. No way this is normal. Planning on calling the dealer tomorrow.

I have a 22 3.5 ecoboost that rumbles in 9th and 10th gear enough I can feel it in the steering and gas pedal. I can feel it from 1500rpm to 2k rpm. Maybe not just be a powerboost thing? Will be taking it in soon to be looked at..

With a scanner you can see 50 to 75 rpm slip in the converter. I am going to take it in two more times and if they don't fix it Lemon law it.

Just go the truck back from ford Friday and so far the surging is gone. The replaced the transmission, torque converter and the hybrid drive unit. All 100% covered by the hybrid warranty.

Anyone have any success with this or any updates?

Got a 2023 with around 17k miles, issue started around 15k miles. Service Advisor was able to replicate the issue and immediately said it was transmission related, latest I heard from him a few weeks ago was that Ford is aware of the issue and it will likely be resolved via a software update. I saw TSB 25-2174, but it is only for 24-25 Powerboosts. Weird thing is is that there will be 50 mile periods where I have zero issues and then days on end where the moment I hit 50 MPH, the whole truck starts to shake from it.

It was noticably better, maybe even resolved after my underfilled trans was filled and valve body was replaced. Now its come back basically after a few thousand miles. The tech was trying to convince me it was wheel balancing and told me to go to some other tire shop to have them balanced. Suprise! It aint that.

Same symptoms. Its a oscillating vibration between 50 and roughly 60 in higher gears.

What clutches are engaged in 8-9-10?

Following this as I’m in the same boat as many of you- started with 8-10, primarily 9th, and now starting in lower gears. Took it to a dealership and they told me transmission, but extended warranty would not cover it as it’s technically still working. 21 PB with currently 107500 miles. I have an extended warranty until 148000 so hoping we are able to figure it out before then.
Also looking into the TSB 22-2224 as it’s a place to at least start.
