Looks like I was having the same or similar issue here. Basically in gears 3-7 you could feel hard gear shifts, and mostly 9-10 there was distinct vibration and sound you could usually feel through the gas pedal. Ford did some diags and ride alongs with sensor equipment and determined the issue was with the hybrid drive unit. 40 miles on it since picking the truck back up yesterday and shifting is much smoother. Similar to the 2025 XLT loaner they gave me

It was noticably better, maybe even resolved after my underfilled trans was filled and valve body was replaced. Now its come back basically after a few thousand miles. The tech was trying to convince me it was wheel balancing and told me to go to some other tire shop to have them balanced. Suprise! It aint that.

Same symptoms. Its a oscillating vibration between 50 and roughly 60 in higher gears.

What clutches are engaged in 8-9-10?
Reading through threads and you using the word oscillating peaked my ears. I have something similar, it’s almost harmonic. They said it’s my tires cupping but I can hear my tires howling on a smooth road but then FEEL this harmonic rhythmic vibrating in the pedals. Any updates from you?

They told me it was tire balancing and refused to look at the trans. I really think it is the trans. Tire balancing didnt do anything. When the replaced my trans fluid and valve body at like 8k miles, I thought it went away. Its back, but not anywhere as bad as it was for the first 8k miles. Its back at a different dealer right now, so well see what they say.

Read through all the replies here. Some good info.

To anyone still following, does this occur around 1500rpm and worse when giving the truck slight throttle?

My 2023 Powerboost to me feels like it’s lugging. I’d say 1300-1500 rpm. I give it some gas and it just feels like a slight buzz and some sort of vibration or harmonic rattle. Kinda like a loose heat shield but there is definitely a slight buzz through the truck or pedals.

I’ll pay more attention to the gear and speed as well. I wanna say around 40mph and 8th gear.

My feeling is that the transmission needs to downshift and doesn’t. And then it lugs and gets something vibrating at that frequency. As soon as I get a downshift or maybe 1700 rpm it seems to stop.

I also suspect the colder weather is making it worse or more noticeable.

Following this one and hoping they have a software update. I’m surprised it’s on brand new trucks and that 25-2174 TSB is only 2024-2025 models.

I get it in these conditions but when going into an incline 2022 PB. I’ve had it for over 30,000 miles and it’s not got worse nor better so I assume it’s whatever

Im inclined to agree with you though I wish at minimum they’d change the shift logic to stop the lugging. Wonder what they changed in the 2024-2025 TSB and why earlier trucks aren’t getting reflashed.

Well, this didn't last. I have had the hybrid drive unit replaced again. This time Ford advised to do a valve job on the transmission then replace the hybrid drive unit. This is approx $10k for the drive unit.
