There is another thread where people said their AC defaults to recirculate. I couldn’t believe this as I’ve never had a vehicle the defaulted that way. I started playing around with mine and I’ll be danged if mine didn’t start defaulting to recirculate. Here’s what I found…..
If you touch the “max air“ OR “recirculate“ button it WILL default to recirculate. All you need to do is push the “auto” button and “max air” and/or “recirculate will turn off and WON‘T default back to recirculate UNTIL you push the ”max air” or “recirculate button again. Does it have to stay on “auto”? Great question! The answer is NO! For instance, push the “auto” button then fan speed up or down which takes out out of ”auto” and it still WON’T default back to “recirculate”. But what if I live in a hot ass place like the Sahara Desert? Another great question! I live in the hottest place on earth, TEXAS, and mine never defaulted to recirculate this summer. Check out the video.
