@HammaMan , if convenient for you, I would like your input. If there is already an existing path that I can utilize for routing the wire, I would much rather much use that route than drill a new hole and install a grommet. Thanks!
According to the video there are existing grommets on both sides of the truck. You will have to either pull your fender badge or your wheel well liner for access. From the sounds of it you will not be able to see the grommet from inside the cab, in the video he suggests using a coat hangar or something to fish the wire through...... hope this helps.

There is a rubber plug in the floor of the drivers side. Roughly centered under your feet. I've used that to run wires for an aux fuel pump along with some other things. I poke a small hole in it and push a wire thru so that the rubber tightens around the wire to seal out water, etc.

Yes, I saw the video and noted that detail. However, in a response from @HammaMan , he noted an alternate location on the firewall below the power brake booster. My follow up question was directed to him and his response regarding the alternate location.

Go watch this video, at 3:20 they show the grommet you can go through. It is a double sided grommet (diaphragm each side). I ran some wires through it, too easy.
Okay, somehow I seem to be failing to communicate..... Let me try to be very clear: again, I HAVE WATCHED THE VIDEO. I AM AWARE OF THE GROMMET. I know it is there. I know how it works. I get it. The thing is, that was NOT what I was asking about. I was trying to follow up on a suggested ALTERNATE location. ALTERNATE - as in NOT through the fender vent.
