How often do you grease your brakes

Only when I am already servicing the brakes. I could see adding it to my regimen in severe service, however.

In the Northeast it is recommended to do it annually due to the road salt/brine but typically, I only do it when a vehicle needs new brake pads or rotors. While doing that work, I typically wire wheel and grease the brakets where they contacts the slides as well to ensure the brake pads move freely within the slides.

I would replace the rubber boots, they do crack from harsh NE winters.

Agreed. I always replace all the hardware as well when doing a brake job and that is solid advice.

Update:

grease was there but definitely some wear material that I wiped off before re greasing, here is before and after cleaning

Jack your truck up high to give yourself room!

Also recommend leaving one bolt attached so your caliper doesn’t go ass over tea kettle, the brake hose is really short

That looks like moly grease, which always has that glittery look to it. Same with anti-sieze. I don’t think that those pins have seen any wear.

The weird thing is that at the base of the pin the grease was clear almost like silicone colour.

Once I cleaned it and applied the brake grease I had lying around I was happy with the slipperiness of the pins.

Only when the rear brakes would be submerged in salf water have I needed to do special servicing of the parts.
