Where are you located OP?

I did a bilstein 6112/5160 front struts and rear shocks at less than 200 miles on my truck, so I have a basically new set.

And I swapped out my factory control arms at the same time

If you want to go to factory, I can get pictures and we can figure out if you want this stuff. It's basically new, and will be loads cheaper than dealership

Here is my truck now

My BFG Ko2 35s are also heavy, but im getting around 17-18mpg mixed driving

I did a Livernois Tune on mine, and it seems to have added back about 1.5mpg if I drive gently.... which is hard sometimes

I’m unable been seriously considering going back to stock. I love the look with the 3 inch lift but the tires I’m running are 68 pound tires and i knew I’d lose some mpg but it seems like I’m losing more than expected. I was recommended to look into the blistien set up which is what you got. I wouldn’t even k ow how to swap it we came to terms

Dropping down to a smaller 33 tire will solve most of your fuel mileage issues

Since I swapped my wheels and tires, I also have a set of factory wheels and tires.

Mine is a full set of 5, including the spare. HDPP wheels and same US General ATs as the Tremor. 275/70r18 with TMPS sensors.

I haven't gotten around to listing them for sale yet, but they have under 300 miles on them.

The picture above, is what my truck looked like with factory suspension and wheels/tires

Looks good dude. I bought my truck used. I reckon the previous owner installed a readylift 3 inch lift. The dealer put the heavy ass 35’s on the truck. I have been wanting to put 33’s. Any takers on my 35’s. They have maybe 1k miles on them

Stock for me
Lowering your gearing to 4.10 or 4.56 will help the fuel mileage. 4.10s will bring you back to stock gear ratios. You’ll still be pushing heavier tires but at least the gearing isn’t also in the way. I just got a powerboost too and this is my plan so I don’t know exactly how much you’ll get back but I know it will be better than the stock 3.73s.

How do I go about lowering the gearing? I’ll be posting the tires soon. Right now I’m in the process of installing the Roush Cold Air intake

My KO2s are the same weight, but mine only went down about 3mpg.

Some of it is that I have 3.73 gears, and I did a tune on the truck, so it picked up more power all across the powerband.

If I drive hard, it's easy to see 14 or 15mpg mixed driving, but if I take it easy, it's 17-18

you would need to find a mechanic that works on the differential. I believe a lot of the off road mechanics can do it. You could get your gearing here https://www.nitro-gear.com/ basically with bigger tires you are asking your engine to push the truck a little further each rotation than stock. Think of it like starting in second gear instead of first. This lowers the gear ratio in your differential so your engine is back to pushing your truck the same (or less depending on how low you go) as stock. I’m not sure exactly how much you would get back but at least all you are dealing with is the extra weight, not both the extra tire weight and a taller gearing. If anyone has any experience with how much is gained back by regearing I’d love to hear your experience

This is I don’t drive hard. Also I noticed that when I drive. If I set the cruise to 70 the speedometer app I have says I’m going 75

That's crazy, mine is a regular 3.5L, non powerboost, there is no way I should be getting better mileage.

Try better fuel naybe, I put 91 or 93 octane, and my mileage is hand calculated, not based on the computer.

I did adjust tire size with my tuner, until I was getting the same speed reading with my GPS device as I was traveling, the size didn't match the 602 rotations BFG gave, or the calculated 577, I settled on 590 as the closest match.

The speed difference is the same thing as the gearing issue. Bigger tires means you are covering more distance per rotation. Adjusting the speedo will make things more accurate but not physically do anything. You would need to regear to physically change anything. I would assume you would still need to calibrate the Speedo

I went to the dealer and asked them to recalibrate my speedometer. They said they did but still the same. May I ask what tool you used to recalibrate your speedometer
