How many miles on your truck when delivered?

Didn't even know how to begin searching for this topic but haven't seen it discussed.

We all know the massive logistical machine moving these trucks to their owner. I'm curious to know how many miles showed on the odometer of your new truck when you picked it up from the dealership.

Do we suspect any correlation to how far the owner lives from Dearborn or Kansas City?

I guess I'm asking because I'd be a bit perturbed if I went to pick up my brand new truck and found that it had any more than 20 miles on it.

Like 7. But anything under 50 would honestly be normal. So if your deal breaker number is 20 miles then expect the worse.

Mine had 50 but that was from dealer bringing it to line ex.

I didn't say it would be a deal-breaker. It would just bother me. At the end of the day, it'll still be the newest vehicle I've ever owned and I'm excited!

20 miles is nothing if the vehicle was tagged for a QA check. Also depends on what the dealer does for PDI, some techs will do a longer test drive loop.

Mine had 22 miles, then I put another 8 miles on it before signing the paperwork.

I wanna say mine had 12 and I totally trust the dealer so happy they had actually road tested it before I purchased.

3 miles when they took delivery. 44 when I took delivery. They test all features and use off-site detailed.

I think mine had about 52 miles on it.

anything less than 50 miles might as well be zero. You are better off usually when the truck is moving under its own power and not being conveyed in some unnatural manner AKA pushed, towed, trailing and other.

Mine had 7, with many hours of idle time.

35 is still pretty low, how long was it at the dealership before you picked it up?

My truck had a little over 5 miles when it arrived at the dealer, the additional distance was from a lot attendant driving it to the dealer’s on site fuel pump. Some dealers use public pumps and that can create additional miles too.

It’s always possible, with some of the teething issues, that the dealer took the truck for a quick spin to make sure it wasn’t going to light up with error codes.

A few new trucks have arrived to forum members with over 100 miles, either with letters from Ford that the truck was taken for road testing or with no explanation at all.

I have purchased 4 trucks since 2009 in the Houston, TX Area - all three had very close to 30 miles on them. the last two had 33 each - including my new 2022 PB PLT currently in a custom shop being blacked out!!! Can't wait to get it back in the next week or so.

Mine only had 13 miles on it after they tinted the windows and got the spray in bed liner done.

There was a thread last year about this. She had 8 miles, but 5 of those were from me test driving it before driving it off the lot.
