How long does it take to run a check on a 2023 Ford F150 Synch?

I dropped off my truck at the dealership yesterday. FordPass said I needed a new modem. 2 days later, the technician at the Ford dealership said they’re still running the test, looking for an error code! Any idea as to why this would take this long?

I assume it’s under warranty? From my dealings seems like they take their time with warranty work…

Hey have to do pin point test. They can’t just go off of what a FordPass alert says. After that, if a new module is needed they have to order the replacement part. So it’s not a quick turnaround.

The system uses between 4 and 6 different modules to "run" the vehicle. The problem comes in because they use a common bus to exchange info, power up, go to sleep and perform various task. Each module needs to be isolated, tested and verified separately. Time.

Going on 3 days. Said they are waiting for an error code. You’d figure with today’s technology, it wouldn’t take that long! But,
Yeah I took my F150 in for an oil change back in Dec. and I told them I saw the front axle had a leak. They said they had to have their front-end specialist look at it and it wouldn't be till the middle Jan. Once he looks at it then they would order the parts and I'd have to bring it back. I miss the good days of brining it in and getting it fixed that day.
