At least until my 8 year 100000 mile warranty is up!
2021 King Ranch Powerboost with 40K miles so far, love this truck. No problems except for a mediocre air conditioner.
It’s my first Ford after 5 GMC or Chevy trucks.
I bought it solely because of the Hybrid drive. 24 mpg EPA and high 13s in the quarter mile! That’s why I bought it. I’m a big believer in Hybrids after owning 4 Toyota hybrids. More power and better mileage, best of both worlds.

Between my modifications and knowledge gained from the community at large, my biggest concern is the trans holding up to the torque. Based on the design change that occurred a few months after mine was built, I get at least a free trans rebuild when it starts to act up. I don't know what the future holds or if some badass PHEV is on the horizon so can't say. I plan to keep it as long as is required to meet my needs, or if suddenly the grass is greener on the other side. I don't expect issues with the vehicle to be the cause of its sale.
Do you happen to know what build date the redesign happened? I have been meaning to check my truck to compare as I know someone posted about the CDF(?) being revamped. Thanks in advance!

So I am not the only one with a weak HVAC?! have you taken it to the dealership for that issue? Mine will not blow strong at max speed on the feet and face setting, but will do fine in one or the other. Put it on both, and all I hear is air behind the whole dash/infotainment screen etc. What is the issue with yours?

Should my calculation change? That is what I am curious to hear from the community.

Any vehicle or engine can have issues. I think Fords engines are pretty solid for the most part, but 1,000 miles in I saw the "trailer brake system fault" warning pop up and it freaked me out. I have seen owners in this forum lose their Powerboost for weeks waiting for software to be reinstalled properly or for a module. This makes me doubt the reliability a bit. I am hoping the community can help me get rid of this doubt! I have seen some owners in the forum who have had no issues, but I occasionally come across something that freaks me out about its reliability and it makes me question whether or not I should plan to keep it in the long term. I love the truck, but am hoping I do not have to deal with ongoing issues in the future.
When I turn the truck on to accessory to jot down fuel trip data, and then start the truck, I always get a trailer brake fault warning that goes away within a second. Super weird but I just ignore it. Sounds like this happened while driving?

yes, it happens to me while I’m driving. It’s flashed on and off about 8 times or so. I’m now at 3,200 miles. I just hope it doesn’t come back! lol

So many misunderstood people on PBs vs F150s as a whole...
The PB itself is not the problem with most complaints; heat exchangers, stuck windows, CarPlay etc have nothing to do with PB.
But to follow the Question and one thing I have not heard ANYone talk about is the lifespan of the battery.
Teslas are notorious for losing charge and depleting power quickly as the battery usage increases. So what's going to happen to our batteries?
Everyone can talk about the warranty at 100k, but those saying 200k or 30yrs, pretty sure the battery will be dead and or useless. I'd rather drive a dead battery (now an EBoost) over buying a replacement $10,000 battery that is so fractional to my overall power...

id take it in, hopefully you have pictures of all the occurrences? Or if you’d rather not take it in I believe there is a user here than can use your VIN to check for codes via FORSCAN

I’ve considered taking it in. My hesitation comes from some other users on here who had the same issue but said their dealer wouldn’t do anything because they couldn’t recreate the issue. If it ever pops up for long enough, I’ll definitely take a picture. Hasn’t happened in a few weeks now. Anyways, definitely don’t like that that happened so quickly.

yea, I can confirm that if they message isn’t displaying at the dealership, it’s very hard to get them to “verify concern” and T/S. My ‘21 had all kinds of error messages that I documented thoroughly but they never really fixed them because it wasn’t displaying at the point of drop off.

I used to get a trailer brake fault all. the. time (among a slew of other errors). The errors went away after they finally replaced my battery. low/bad batteries cause all kinds of weird things. Good luck!

Thought about doing the same, and getting an H8 like others have recommended. Just one expensive battery…

if you let the dealer know there are stored DTC’s will they do anything?

i get the trailer brake warning very intermittently. Sometimes it will happen once a day or once every 2 weeks. It’s very sporadic but I checked with Forscan and there are 3 stored DTCs related to it. I was going to let the dealer know during my first oil change.

wouldn’t hurt to try! As long as you haven’t made any changes in FORSCAN they should be able to work on it. I know others change their stuff back to OEM settings before bringing it in
