Yes that’s when they went through with an automated program to replace “5” with “6” and some “5x” product pages did what they asked verbatim hence the error in “6x”….but when I get back from holiday I’ll be sure to make sure that the 10 month old product hasn’t been phased out already…
Thanks but this is another reason why I decided NOT to go with the FP Whipple because it’s outdated. And when I did my research and called Ford to see if/when they were going to update the FP700 package or just the FP Whipple itself with the new latest Gen 6x technology, they said that they did not know if in fact they would replace/update it at all. So if I’m going to be stuck with a “Limited Warranty” if the Whipple causes engine failure. I might as well go with the updated technology and limited warranty from Whipple themselves. I appreciate your responses throughout all of this but there’s no way Ford is a multi billion dollar company and can’t catch necessary updates like this and continues to sell an outdated “Ford Performance” product with their name on it. It’s not hard to get with Whipple and update these Gen 5x Stg 1 units. Especially when Ford is charging the exact same price as the Gen 6x Stg 1 Whipple units. The least they can do is give the customer the Gen 6x Stg 1 unit.

So whipple had in fact updated the blowers again after the 6th generation was released just months ago? It sure looks like that's what has happened based on what was quoted earlier.

Well according to their website it states. “Our engineering team designed an all new, updated Gen 6. With all the previous innovation of the Gen 6 in previous applications, the updated Gen 6x supercharger features an all new housing, inlet, pulley design to make even more efficient power! The Gen 6x differs from the previous Gen 6 as it features an all new inlet system to further improve airflow capacity.”

Yes that’s what I just had a Ford dealership install for me last week. I have the latest Gen 6x Stg 1 producing 725HP and 650TQ

Well, and hopefully if you upgrade to stage 2 later you're not stuck at 775 hp like the earlier gen 5 setups were. I recall the upgrade cost either $1500 or $2000 (can't remember which) and netted you 775 hp, vs ordering the stage 2 from the get go. Going that option got you the full 805 hp and only cost $500 more than the stage 1. I guess that was because for a while there the stage 2 kit included the 6th gen compressor and the stage 1 included the 5th gen compressor.

Hopefully but I don’t see myself upgrading anytime soon right now. Maybe after I pay my truck off because I have a 2023 Rocky Ridge on a 6” Lift. So I’m already at a disadvantage. I just wanted the extra HP and TQ to romp on it through traffic from time to time. Nothing special nor do I have a desire to take it to the track. ??‍♂ After paying this one off I might look into a RCSB that I can setup for a few pulls at the track later on down the line if Ford keeps the 5.0L Coyote V8 and Whipple keeps the Supercharger around by then. Then I’ll probably add a 3/5 drop kit with some Welds ?. But for right now while I’m still young and can climb up into them, I’m into Lifted Whipple Supercharged trucks! I’d like to think that I already have one of a kind!

Indeed you do. Me, I'm into making the difference between what it looks like it'll do and what it actually will do be as large as possible. Sleeper, in other words. I want a rcsb 4wd with the poverty star wheels (what I call the steel wheels), single stock looking exhaust, maybe lowered some in the back just to level it, and no other visual cues that anything is unusual.

Nice! See I want people to think the exact same about mines but from a lifted perspective. I want them to think I just have an old slow lifted Rocky Ridge until I take off! That’s why I didn’t add any of the “Whipple Supercharged” badging that comes with the Whipple kit. You’ll see! They give you the hood badging and the sticker logos for the back window! I want to add them so bad but I rather hold off until I have fun fooling most people I know then I’ll add them on maybe later in 2025 once everyone already knows what I have under the hood. ?
