i notice it happens when I’m parked on slight hill and going into reverse or drive?

I haven't seen that, but I'm curious about the outcome of your visit to the dealership, if you've done that yet?

I received a notification on my FordPass app on a hill assist failure. I went to dealership today and she said it was sending false warning (the app) She asked me if any warning lights came up on my instrument panel. Nothing came up so I will keep an eye on this.

Happened to me today.
Went to the dealer, the truck has to stay over night . Will keep u guys posted

Just got it (along with 2-3 other messages!) after starting the truck parked on a sideways incline (truck leaning right to left). Went away after I pressed "OK" and haven't gotten an error since.

Interesting that it is popping up all over since 4/15/2021. I received an OTA update last night, today I get HSA warning parked in same place as always. Not claiming cause but something triggered them today. I am waiting a week parking the same way. If it keeps up, I will add it to my rough idle 500-600 rpm) visit in a week.

I had a Hill Start Assist Warning on my new F-150 and it alerted me on the dashboard as well as in the Ford Pass App. I called the dealership and they said if there are no other alert lights on the dashboard, then don't worry about it.

I got the same thing while on vacation. Showed up on the app but and on the dash for a few seconds but nothing since. Have an appointment on Wednesday to have the dealer look at it.

I was at a stoplight on a hill, I got the warning when I went to proceed through the green light. There was lots of traffic so I didn’t go quickly. I got the warning and then it went away after a few seconds. I was concentrating on the traffic and didn’t realize the warning until I got the alert through FordPass.

Hey Paul, my husband has an 2015 F-150 that began to display “Hill Start Assist Not Available” when he was driving down the road. He went to accelerate & had loss of power. Now his F-150 acts like it wants to stall if he goes over 45 mph. The warning will not go away & the problem is consistent. I’ve seen other people talk about their problems going away & coming back, but his does not. He is scheduled to see a mechanic on Monday, 6/21/21… Any advice would be helpful. Diagnostic tests are very pricy.

Update:
We’ll, it looks like it was all to do with a broken brake light switch stopper ? Replacing it fixed all of the problems….(went to a local mechanic instead of waiting for the dealer…)

Same issue happened to me along with a few other errors that showed up all together (ABS, Traction control, etc) and I completely lost brakes while driving. Dealer upgraded all modules and after driving 5 miles from the dealer I lost brakes again... they replaced the brake booster and a few other items and returned the truck to me and I lost brakes again while driving off the parking lot... they have no idea what's wrong with it !
