I have a 2023 XLT 4x4 with the Powerboost. I have 24,500 miles on my truck and already need new tires. I just called Hankook and was told that they don't warranty tread life only tire defects. On their website the tires are rated at 60,000 miles, not a chance. The guy told me that if these were replacement tires they'd be warrantied but not if they came from the factory.

Has anyone else had this same tread wear issue and does Ford warranty it?

Factory tires are usually worse than what you normally purchase at a tire shop. Have seen it with every new vehicle. (I get a new work vehicle every 3-4 years) If you look up those Dynapro AT2s, you'll see they even have a different tread pattern for the ones that come with new F-150s vs what is reviewed/shown on Tirerack.com
They are cheaper, made for mpg, and don't last.
I replaced mine on my 2023 at 20K miles.
We noticed the same thing on my wife's VW. Came with some lower-end goodyears that were replaced at 15K.
Also, tread-wear warranty only applies to defects. If they wear out sooner, that generally isn't covered by any tire brand.

I just swapped mine out after almost 4 years and 120,000km (Around 75k miles). They were getting near the wear marks so I changed them before the winter. Most of my driving is highway though so I’m pretty easy on them. I’d be ticked if they only lasted that long!

Thanks, Jake. Those tires are my only issue with the truck. It's 4x4 with the FX4 package and Ford puts street tires on it.

Yeah, not happy that I have to put new tires on this early.

I've had great experience with the not from Ford DynaPro AT2s. Different tread pattern, etc. I've seen 50K to 65K on a set. Funny, the set that only lasted 50K was when I worked at a company and drove up/down a parking ramp daily.

My factory Dynapro tires went over 30,000 miles without issue. I kept the psi around 38. Don’t know if that helped or not, but they were still serviceable when the Michelins went on.

I took the stockers off at 3K miles, but my KO2's lasted 37k miles. Not bad considering what I put them through. Just swapped to Toyo ATIII's

Hankooks on my ‘23 Lariat with 5.0 have 50k miles and plenty of tread. Outside started showing wear pretty early, so I keep cold pressure at 40lbs. I’m easy on them. I expect to get at least 70k miles out of them.

I can't wait until these wear out. They are pretty bad.

The factory Hankook AT2s have lasted between 24,000 to 36,000 miles on my current and previous trucks. I have always been happy with the AT2s but last time I went with the Hankook AT2 Xtreme and I am very happy with them. The tires weigh a little bit more than AT2 but no changes to MPG worth noting and ride is very similar. They are slightly louder but not a big deal in my opinion. The AT2 Xtreme seem like they will last much longer because the tread is not wearing as much as the AT2s did.

I am getting ready to order a 2026 F150 Platinum and I already told the dealer GM, that they will be swapping out the factory tires with AT2 Xtremes and he had no problems with that... I wish I would have done that on previous F150s that I have ordered!

I forgot to mention my worst experience with factory tires was an 2012 F150 BAP that had Pirelli scorpion tires and only lasted 18,000 miles. That was very disappointing!

You're fortunate! I live in upstate NY, there's no way I'd trust mine to get me through the winter!

I'm putting on Cooper Discover All-Terrain next week. When I get my next truck I'll ask them to switch as did with your new truck. Appreciate the heads up.
