As I was driving home from Granger to Arizona in June and used the bluecruise for the first time, I picked up some notes that I made to know what route to turn on to next. Almost immediately I got an alert to keep my eyes on the road. Now, this adds nothing to this thread, other than at the same time the first line of Roadhouse Blues began playing on XM. I thought is was funny.

This is my third truck with Lane centering. My 24' is by far the worst. It goes from a warning to the flashing red even as I try to shake the steering wheel.... I don't even use it anymore. With my 23' Lariat it would do it maybe once or twice a week. With the 24' it was every trip.

For a truck with not even 3,000 miles it's been to the dealership for so many issues like this I've given up. I'm hoping it has something to do with blue Cruise. I have no intention of ever using it again and couldn't delete the renewal email fast enough from Ford.

Keep getting alerts of keep hands on steering wheel. Hands are on wheel. Sometimes have to move hands around to make it go away. At times vehicle will slow down before seeing hands on wheel. Once started breaking before sensing hands on wheel.

Hi James! I can look into your F-150’s concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your F-150’s VIN?

That's okay, ford is too. You don't have enough messages to send a PM. Highlight name / start conversation

I'm finding the technology is not what we all would like to believe. I nudge the wheel every once in a while while using the lane keeping. I don't always have to have both hands on the wheel and it seems to satisfy the sensor.

Glad to see I'm not the only one with this annoyance. I understand and get safety, but this is a bit too much. The lane centering is doing just fine, going down a straight, yet it constantly alerts me. Am I expected to drive straight down a road and shake the steering wheels back and forth? I find the constant alerts more distracting than the actual driving. There has to be a way they can adjust this system while still implementing most of the safety feature.

My sentiments exactly. My 2022 Lincoln Aviator doesn’t have this problem.
It seems the right hand doesn’t talk to the left hand.

I also found it annoying. Best solution I found was to Go to Features>Driver Assistance>Lane-Keeping System>Mode & select ”Alert.” Takes away everything except the Hands on Wheel Icon and the “Keep Eyes on Road” if you look away too long. See Screenshots on how to do.

So this actually does away with the constant steering wheel shake requirement?

It also kills lane centering. I just keep it enabled and jiggle the steering wheel periodically. Works for me.

Yeah then I don’t understand the point right? I don’t have a problem with my 24 giving me any sort of alerts as long as lane centering and/or auto cruse is off. The truck acts as normal. So if you kill the alerts and that kills lane centering then that’s a waste. I’m like one of the guys above, I find myself constantly steering against the control just to keep the computer quiet. Otherwise it’s a shake the steering wheel every 20 seconds to keep the alarms quiet which really gets annoying on a long drive. So most of the time I don’t even use lane centering at all. It’s just not worth the hassle. It needs improvement.

Does not stop lane centering on my truck. If fact you can adjust the intensity to Low, Normal or High. I find Low to be more than adequate.
