I think he means that it kills the physical feedback aspect of lane centering. You get the audible feedback, just not the physical feedback that pulls the truck back into the center of the lane.

I still get feedback from steering wheel. That‘s why I shared screenshot of “intensity” settings.”

Interesting, thought that was only the intensity of an audio signal and that you had to have "aid" selected in order to get feedback. Gonna have to try that! Thanks!

Does not stop lane centering on my truck. If fact you can adjust the intensity to Low, Normal or High. I find Low to be more than adequate.

Lane keeping and lane centering are two different programs. These settings are for lane keeping.

lane keeping is what bumps you back towards middle when you get near a line. This can be active all the time.

lane keeping generates the wheel vibrating and lane departure sound

lane centering continuously steers to keep you centered, it can only be active when adaptive cruise is active.

lane centering is what generates the hands on wheel messages.

That's not lane centering. That's just lane assist/keeping alerting. Lane assist only kicks in when you get close to a line on the left or right. Lane centering actively keeps you in the center of the lane when adaptive cruise control is on.

Glad I'm not the only one. My 24 constantly tells me to place my hands on the wheel even though they are. It feels to me as if the steering wheel is constantly moving on its own. I have to shake the wheel every 15 seconds or so to prevent the alert from popping up.

The lane keeping feature definitely needs some refinement, I don't even bother with it anymore. Even during my blue cruise free trial when using BC I would receive the same alerts.

The adaptive cruise feature could also use some updates. Even on the closest setting on the highway it leaves tons of space and cars constantly pull in front of me causing the truck to jam on the brakes. I get this is a result from aggressive drivers, in today's world if there is enough space for a car to fit they will switch lanes.

Yeah, I find my adaptative cruise braking can get pretty dramatic. Was driving the other day and a car decided to turn into a parking lot, my truck hammered on the brakes so hard I thought the guy behind me was going to hit me. lol Then it takes fooooreeeeevvvver for the truck to realize the vehicle in front is now gone before it resumes.

Like I said earlier in the thread, I get it. The safety features are nice and I appreciate having them, but they could absolutely use some refinement.
