I think so. We're on the exact same trajectory pretty much:I thought it couldn't possibly be true when I saw the ECG-24.2.5.6.3 update a couple days ago. Then I got 10.1.1 while I was sitting at a park today. Like many of you, this is the first time my 21 Platinum PB has updated in over a year. I kept getting the same update notification over and over. I finally just let it go and thought my truck was too old to get anything else until this week.
So, now that updates started flowing, what's possible in terms of enhanced functionality? I had the initial 3-year free BlueCruise and never paid for an extension because I couldn't get past the initial BC version that just bounces around and frankly makes driving more dangerous. Does this mean it's possible to get to a newer version of BC through subsequent updates? I'd be thrilled. Still love the truck and features overall and only have a year of payments left. Was hoping to keep it several more years after paying it off. If it could get a more functional version of BC, there's literally nothing else I'd need. It still feels like a new truck to me and features/functionality are still very modern.
Thanks all!
That would be awesome if it really is at 1.4 now. I'd think receiving SYNC-25.2.1.6.5 means that it is, but I see why you're not certain based on the other threads and the description that the update gave you. I used to be on these forums 24/7 years ago, so I would have known for sure back then. I'm completely out of touch with all of it now since I'd gone so long without any change and had given up hope. Definitely post an update if you find out for sure! I'm crossing my fingers that mine keeps the updates rolling as well.I think so. We're on the exact same trajectory pretty much:
10/13: ECG-24.2.5.6.3
10/14: 10.1.1
10/15 (today): SYNC-25.2.1.6.5
Not sure what the deal is with this most recent one. In the spreadsheet that says its the bluecruise 1.4 update, but the other thread also indicates a couple of others may be needed. The description on my update did not mention bluecruise, it was the generic "we made improvements to your vehicle's software".
I also think this one has the backup camera fix for the recall. Based on other threads I expect that will disappear from an open recall in the coming days.
I'd be interested in trying Bluecruise 1.4 if it gets enabled, like you I didn't pay after the trial as it wasn't worth it.
It depends on whether your truck has received the latest IPMA update via OTA (or done by the dealer) or not. Message me the VIN and I can check. So I have a 2021 power boost, lariat, build one. I as well had not received any OTA‘s in quite some time. I would get the phantom download message. Yesterday I opened up the Ford app and saw that I had an update that had been installed. It was a “this update helps your truck” OTA. Then today I received the SYNC update to fix the recall issue. I didn’t get disconnect my battery, or do anything different besides driving the truck daily.
So my question is then is there a way to check which blue cruise version is currently installed?
Your IPMA is on the ACJ strategy which is beta BC 1.4. You can enable BC 1.4 with FORScan whenever you want. It is basically the same thing as the official BC 1.4 release except you are not forced to wear your seatbelt for lane centering/BC to work.Anyone else that recently started getting updates have anything new? After about a year, I got the following in rapid succession:
10/13: ECG-24.2.5.6.3
10/14: 10.1.1
10/15: SYNC-25.2.1.6.5
Since then its been nothing. I thought that last one might address the backup camera recall and/or possibly Bluecruise 1.4, but so far neither of those seem to have been addressed. I know it sounds like there's a separate IPMA update for BC, kinda surprised the camera recall is still there I figured Ford would be agressive in doing those remotely to avoid people taking their truck into the dealer for it.
