Hackers been going nuts trying to get into MSoft account

Anyone else getting bombarded with loads of attempts to login to their microsoft account? 100s just this year. Mainly out of DE, RU also seychelles and china.

The login attempts are hilarious, but at the same time microsoft keeps on letting them try over and over again. You'd think they'd up their game.

Yup, all trying to use an old password. Probably something in a leak from years ago. Important lesson in turning on two-factor authentication in case they do get the real one, and regular password changes using a password manager.

Dunno about that but I've been getting ridiculous amounts of spam to an unlisted email address never used for anything. I think there is a way to spam MS mail servers. We just received new work emails under new domain and getting flooded there too. Only thing in common both cases is using MS mail servers. ?‍

Yeah, been on the net for decades so loads and loads of data breeches. Not fond of msoft trying to automatically enable one drive backup of desktop / documents. I need to get a copy of an enterprise / DOD load that has that shit stripped out natively. Haven't had time to look into it.

Funny I updated to Windows 10 using modified Windows 7 with features stripped out myself. One Drive is one of those I never saw point in it so it's still not on that PC with no way to add it. I guess I'll see if it installs when I upgrade to 11. I actually do use the hell out of one drive for work. Access my files anywhere I'm truly a mobile office and never really need my company laptop when I have my phone.

I took a look at my MS account. 3 attempts every hour from all over the world going back several weeks of history. That is some scary stuff going on.

everyone gets breached it seems weekly if not more,
medical files, banks, credit reports etc
not to mention the IRS data was hmm let out

its already bleeping crazy to log in to VA, and the navy pay site
pw change every 150 days, cant use any combination of the last million passwords ( exaggerating)
50 special characters, 40 upper case 30 lower case, 25 numbers and thumb print
