My settings are the same as above. I just made a change in my SCCM. The value was a 4. I changed it to a 3. The 3 is glare free lighting. We'll see if it makes any difference tonight.

You will see in the pic that the option for Auto high beam is set to Adaptive driving beam. I changed that value to Glare free lighting. It changes the above value from a 4 to a 3.

I’ll try the same change

That should be an interesting change. "4" was the value in @Livnitup 's spreadsheet we all put in to activate glare-free lighting because that was what was in the Canadian builds. "2" I believe is what we had originally on US spec trucks before activating glare-free.

Yeah, Kinda hard to say. If anything, Switching the HCM ramping setting to off then back on may do something? Who knows. I'm going to see what mine does tonight.

I’m on the highway so I can’t tell if glarefree is working but now both the glarefree and high beam icons are lit up. It doesn’t appear that my beams are really on though….

This was after changing the 4 to 3.

Thanks for checking it out. Other thing to possibly look into may be the ramping in the HCM.
I did try activating ramping in the BCM and it made no difference. HCM I have set to available as well. It still ramps for cars so I doubt cycling the HCM setting will have an effect, but stranger things have happened

I wouldn’t let this discourage you. The IPMA update brings a lot of goodness to other features. This at the end of the day this is just a minor change in behavior and not worth avoiding the update.

Appreciate the motivation. To get the cable and the recommended charger will set me back quite a few bucks!
the great thing though is the community here. I’ve never done any FDRS stuff and hell even Forscan sometimes scares me. Tax season is coming so now may be the time to jump in.

I think I remember having the conflicting information when I was first enabling Glarefree.
It was misconfigured in my case. And I think Antho came to my rescue.

It would be nice to have some method of indicating the Glare Free high beams are active (i.e., came on when criteria have been met). On my 911 with the matrix LED full functionality activated, the green indicator with the "A" turns blue when the beam shaping high beam criteria have been met.

Quick update. Blue high beam light came on and off as I drove but didn’t seem to change anything. I won’t be back into the back roads till late tonight/ early morning so I’ll report back on what happens on the back roads when I can

If you have a bluecruise truck, the improvements to that alone are worth the cost/hassle. It’s a whole new ballgame with these updates, nevermind everything else you get.

Unfortunately you aren’t close enough or I would let you borrow mine. I would put your name on the list for the free loaners on here. Also keep your eye on the marketplace here and Facebook marketplace. I got mine on FB for $225 by setting an alert and jumping on one as soon as it popped up.
