I did not want to screw up the forscan thread about glare free
but this morning around 2:22 AM we had fog so dense the visibility in many places was less than 600 feet then might stretch out to 1/4 mile
normally we would not drive with HIGH BEAMS on in fog like this to reduce flash back glare
well
let me say the glare free system was working its butt off this morning
it would stay BRIGHT in areas of less fog and dim in areas of really heavy 600 feet fog across the roadway,
i had to slow from normal 70 to 50 or less over the 22 miles as it was so dense .\
what i found really cool, interesting, great was the way the lights constantly adjusted to the reflectivity of the fog.
it was almost like watching spot or flood lights waving at a movie premier
they kept the road sides lit up and kept the road right in front , almost reflective free from light blasting back at me from the fog, and i swear it was moving the main beam to avoid reflections back into the cab and my eyes.
anyone else driven in bad fog since glare free was turned on?
it was really a dramatic difference in visibilty. not sure if they designed the system to do this..but DAMMM it was impressive
