I love that my truck is getting consistent updates, and dont get me wrong some have added welcome new features or fixed bugs but...

For the love of God Ford could you please stop resetting the Gauge Setup on the main display with every update?!?!

I have transmission temp on the left, boost on the right and I dont display oil pressure.

After EVERY update they reset to the oil pressure replacing the boost gauge and flip the oil pressure and trans temp.

Its 2024, it cant be that difficult to respect and keep the settings in the truck during the update process.

Thanks, just had to vent, thanks for listening, continue with your normal Sundays

I don't disagree but for me it's a nuisance that's below the spectrum of concern.

Oh for sure I am splitting hairs and it is a 100% a first world problem. As long as the truck runs well I can spend the 45 seconds to flip everything back after an update.

Flip side as a person who works in IT developing code it also cant be that difficult for Ford to fix, its just lazy on their part.

About a year ago Jim Farley explained Ford software. It is farmed out to the individual module manufacturer and those module makers have to send Ford the update. How many modules are in the truck and how many different manufacturers are involved? A bunch. So OTA updates are a mess

I think Ford was going to try and write their own code for the Lightening.

I have some settings that get changed after every update. For example, alarm settings go back to stock with every update.

It is annoying but when updates are spaced out so much now I don't worry much about it. Late last year I was getting multiple OTA per week with the 6.x updates and that was bugging me more then.

I don't care for that either ... what bothers me more is for some reason I have TWO different sets of radio pre-sets (like 24 in each one) and every month or so the radio reverts back to the other ... one of the presets is from the first week I owned the truck and I just randomly put in stations, the second was maybe 30 days later and all organized the way I like it ... first world, yes. Annoying, yes too.

I agree! it is a PITA to have to go back in and reset the gauges. I also had the boost set-up and "POOF" all of a sudden it is gone.

Also just remembered it re-sets the brightness of the entire main gauge cluster. That almost annoys me more than the gauge setup. Do better Ford.
