front tow hooks question

2022 F150 LARIAT
I was trimming my front air valence and had removed the huge grommets that surround the front tow hooks. after reinstalling one side, the grommet moves around freely. i can’t remember if it was like that or not before i removed it the first time around.
could someone kindly take a look at their stock ones and let me know? TIA!

ah damn Lol. any chance you could take a picture of the backside for me? i want to see if there was anything holding it that i can’t remember.

Looks fine to me.

AFAIK they are just sort of loosely pushed in place, held in by the top trim of the air dam.

If you're worried about it you might be able to put a zip tie somewhere inconspicuous for some extra peace of mind but you should be fine as long as they aren't literally falling off.

They snap in below tow hook, see stage 3 you tube video on replacing tow hook’s.
