The only thing “holding” them is the how hooks. They just sit in place in indentions within the plastic valence.
i'm so lost on how they're loose though.
i just want to tighten up the grommets again thats all :(

could you rephrase? i'm not following..
It looks like they're primarily held in place by all of that extra rubber that slides back in around the plastic frame, coupled with being held in place by the tow hook itself.

Also, in the Stage 3 video, he mentions early on about "unclicking" two little plastic tabs that hold it in place...did you ensure that those are re-engaged?

See that hole, insert bolt 1 of 2 first(View from underneath truck). Then insert bolt 2 of 2 from the front of truck (pry open hook surround).

the plastic surround, according to the video, has two pegs on either side that snap into flange.

the two tabs on the grommet piece won’t stay in the two holes on the tow hook. idk if it’s been warped or something.

no, and the reason being is because there are no holes present on the rubber grommet piece.
i would imagine if there wasnt a hole that one could be added.
My suggest would to go grab a stainless steel deck screw about 1/2-3/4" long. it should bite into that rubber just fine.

yes you’re right i could do that but genuinely prefer not to. it just frustrates me how i can’t figure out the “OEM” way of how it’s secured. thats all i want to figure out.

maybe find something (piece of wood, plastic, rubber) and put in between those tabs to put pressure on them so that they hold?
