You need to pop off the top panels first. The ones right above the tow hook area. Once removed, you will see two screws holding the tow hook panel. I believe they are 4 or 5mm socket. You will need a 3" extension and 1/4" ratchet to reach them. Once removed you can pop off the panels.
Hey, how did you remove these again? I saw the top panel's part, did you mean the bumper? I couldn't find any way to reach these. Thanks

Yes, you remove the top panel that is on the bumper. They pop off easily with a plastic trim piece remover. A butter knife works too. Once removed, you can see the two small screws that hold the lower cap were the hooks go. FYI the stock hooks will need to be modified (cut and welded) to make them fit the 2WD lower valence. See pics below.

That makes so much more sense. I really appreciate it. I think I’m going to try a flat billet hook instead of the other ones and see if that works. Like on the raptor. I will report back once I try it. Thank you

Hey man, thanks again, that worked! Got another question though lol, did you have to remove the lower valence to install those hooks? I have flat billet tow hooks that’ll fit the 2wd but I can’t fit the socket wrench in with them

It's a pain, but can be done with ratcheting open en wrench.
