Coming from a 5.4L/3.73 with the 6R80 in the Expedition my 2023 F-150 5.0L/3.31 feels alot lighter on it’s feet and fast off the line. I think it depends what you come from lol. Compared to my aunts 6.2L Denali I can definitely feel the torque deficit down low, but it makes up for that with the crazy power up top. My 5.0 will run the 6.2 down once I let her spin.I have a 5.0 with 3.31 gears. Not the quickest off the line but real nice from 50 on up in sport mode.
Amen!!5.0 anyday!!!
But maybe 60 to 100.Amen!!

I'll never know, too old for thatBut maybe 60 to 100.![]()
But they do buy trucks for the torque. That low end torqueAmen!!

If you have a hard time not peeling out with the 5.0, you must have been melting the tires off the 3.5 given the torque curve difference.

Probably feels faster because of the sweet coyote engine noise (I do miss that).I put 86k miles on my 2021 3.5 and for me the take off power from this 5.0 is nuts. 3.5 did not compare.
That 50-90 trip is just kinda wildI have a 5.0 with 3.31 gears. Not the quickest off the line but real nice from 50 on up in sport mode.
