Hello, I have a 22 F150 5.0L 302A. It came without bed lights so I bought OEM switch harnesses and two lights everything was plug-and-play for that part. when I use forscan to change the body control module code I can't get them to work. I see a lot of power boost guys having no issues doing it. they all show two 726-81-01 lines of code my Body module only shows one. My question is has anyone successfully used forscan to get the OEM bed lights to work and could you please post your body control module changes? Thank You

I did get it to work. I changed my 726-81-01 with someone's code from a truck that came with the bed light option.

It’s not two lines it’s just that one and you have to add those values. You got to change the 0s you have now in the pic. It’s just broken out in the threads as two line so folks can keep track of their changes.

You only change the one address. The 2 things you had to change were different positions of the bytes at that address space. Glad you got it working though!

What code did you use and the 01 line is unwritable for me only my 02 line is? I'm dealing with the same issue

Hello,
I just installed bedlights on my truck since I have a bed cover and its hard to see stuff in there later in the day. After making the changes in forscan that hotrodmex suggested they seem to work but only when the ignition is on, or truck running. If pressing the button while truck is off it activates the cargo light by the third brake light which is useless with the bed cover, but not the bed lights. Can anyone help me figure out what to change tobget them to work even with the truck off? I have a 2023 F-150, XLT with 302A package. So far only did the following changes in forscan: foglights with high beams, seatbelt warning off, and double honk when leaving cab with truck running. Thanks for the help.

Dakota, the "write" button at the end of the 02 address will write both 01 and 02 addresses, but because only 01 changed, that's all that will be written. "Write" buttons are for the entire block of addresses.

Make the changes as detailed by @hotrodmex .

Really weird, they started working today out of nowhere, maybe battery was weak from me messing to long on forscan with the ignition on, and fan, radio, and lights being on the whole time. Cant think of anything else

I followed the instructions in the Lightning thread about bed light installation by using the "easy" option in forscan. Mine worked right off the bat and then some OTA update killed them. I believe two of the three changes made it forscan reverted back to factory. I turned them back on some months ago and have had numerous updates occur. Still working...
