Fordpass; start/lock/unlock not working, everything else fine

In the last 24 hours, I've lost the ability to start/lock/unlock via the Fordpass app. BUT, can still pull up location, mileage and tire pressure (which correspond with what's on the dash). So clearly the truck is communicating.

Deleted app and reinstalled, no help.

Any ideas? Do not want to reset the vehicle since that will wipe all my settings.

Have you lost approach lights? Interior lights? Deep sleep? These and what you list are all signs of low battery.

Yeah, I’m familiar with that, happens often in winter after light use. But in this case I’ve not lost those features. BUT remote lock did come back. App tells me simply “unable to start vehicle” as opposed to the occasional deep sleep warning (say, after returning from vacation). Key FOB start has no issues.

Jamie do you have an AGM capable battery trickle charger? If not, good ones like NOCO brand are available pretty inexpensive. I’d still try that as it is easy first troubleshooting step to do.

It's not just him. I have a scheduled start on mine that failed this morning. It worked fine yesterday

Relieved to hear (though sucks for you). The fact that running boards and lights activate as I approach is my indication (though not a guarantee) that I have a full charge. It’s warm and truck is in daily use. But no, I don’t have anything to measure my battery with.

What version of the FordPass app are you on?
Android/or IOS?

Just because the approach lights activate and running board deploy does not mean that you have full charge at all. All those approach features worked on my truck and still had the AGM replaced under warranty after it failed the Rotunda battery test.

Same thing happened to me a few days ago too. I turned off the WiFi on my phone and just used cellular service and it worked and the truck started. Then it cleared up a few days later.

Reloaded the app last night, so most up-to-date. iOS but not 18 yet. I've had the truck for two years and never experienced an app fail WITHOUT an accompanying failure of approach behaviour, so it's good to know they can be independent. And I've tried using both cellular and wifi.

Hoping it settles soon.

The reason I was asking about version of the Fordpass app was because I noticed that issue for a couple days on a previous version of the app. It was strange because it happened for those 2 days and then It didn't happen again. I did report that issue to the FordPass app team since I am a BETA tester for the Fordpass app. I haven't experienced it again on any future versions.

Yeah I had the same issue the other day and it corrected an hour or so later.
