Unfortunately, per Ford Chat, my order is now "Unscheduled- Compatibility," meaning it needs some update from the dealer to schedule.
Maybe a new bulletin that hasn't leaked out yet specific to BC.

Copilot assist (adaptive cruise control and lane centering) has already been removed from lower down models so I wouldn’t count on it sticking around for the fancy models

Once again supply constraint and communication are two different issues IMHO.

I think the Dell analogy may be very appropriate. I imagine Dell is doing the same thing with computers that Ford is with their trucks and fulfilling selectively and Ordering materials selectively. I assume best buy and Costco get theirs first cause they order by the multi 1000s. If you can order 5000 of a certain chip instead of 1000 of 5 different chips in a tight chip market then it makes sense.

Then Dell has their direct to consumer which has over 50 models that can be delivered next day but those models are just reproductions of the same models that they sell to Costco. But a small (and often specialized) order of only 600 computers for a company that requires a slightly unusual chip combination falls low on their current priority chart so why waste resources on a small fish when they can crank out 10,000 more for Costco with the parts easily available. The diversity of chips available is the shortage. Chip makers are producing huge volumes of a small number of chips before changing their setup to produce something different. That causes bottlenecks.

My whole complaint about the Ford problem has always been communication and prioritization "appears" so random, unfair and at times political. Can I say it really isn't fair when I have so few facts? Not really. It just looks that way from my perspective and Ford's corporate structure isn't doing much to enable better communication or to clarify why one order is fulfilled and another that has been on hold for months is still in a lot somewhere.

BTW the disclaimers from three other automakers does not mean that they aren't able to fulfill an order. I see no evidence there that they aren't producing vehicles that are ordered, "as ordered" through a dealer. They are merely telling you that your dealer can tell you what may not be available at the time of ordering. Something my dealer has consistently struggled to do even after Ford announces changes.

It's frustrating seeing the same truck I ordered on something like cars.com as a stock order, when Ford said it was prioritizing confirmed/verified customer orders. Now the truck I ordered can't be built as ordered.

That is by far the most frustrating part of it for me. Feels like a slap in the face that a dealer can get MY TRUCK that I ordered with all the bells and whistles and sell it for MSRP +15k ADM and then I can't get my truck built the way I ordered it in January.

Again, no one here really cares about what your job (no name desk jockey) is or who your “supplier” is. Or what your super l33t company buys and in what dollar amount. The point is that there is a narrative mismatch when it comes to the auto industry.
So you ignored the screen shots of the other auto makers with the same late or not available message?

How convienent for you.

You have no idea what i do. It is not a desk jockey, what ever that is.

All auto manufactures have the same issue. That is fact. A fact you cannot disprove. I showed you other auto websites with the same message.

You do realize learning stuff is a good thing? Stop being so pig headed and admit you are wrong. Consider it a learning experience.

Insulting people and typing crap with no evidense or proof is a waste of time. Your opinion is not fact. I provide data. You insult and offer nothing. That is not how a conversation works. And those that dont think they need to learn anything, never will.

Oh and for shit and giggles - why not google what chip types are used in a pc and compare that to those used in a vehicle. Say an F150.
Think you will see any matches?

But since you already know everything, you dont need to.

I understood this as a by-dealer process. Your order gets produced before the stock orders for your dealer, but if a dealer has fewer customer orders than slots, they get stock orders.

Stop with the reason, logic, and facts pal. The internet is for feelings and conspiracies. Certainly not "learning stuff" ?

Ok pal, whatever you say. Your little narrative does not match the real world experience in different markets for other consumer products.

Wonder what Ford will discount for the removal, it’s a $1,995 option, so maybe $200 bucks.

By the way. I've owned a Cadillac with Super Cruise for 4 years now. It's basically the same thing as Ford's Blue Cruise. I HIGHLY recommend this type of system for highway road warriors. I drive 40k miles a year and the difference in fatigue with Super Cruise (hands free) vs regular Adaptive Cruise (steering) is off the charts. If you drive the highways like me, I wouldn't remove the option. Get a GM with Super Cruise or wait for Blue Cruise. It's worth it.

When I saw the co-pilot assist Forscan thread, I was like “no way”, then the mad lads did it…

I’m surprised to see this feature being removed, but I think it may have something with Ford starting with Android Automotive and the coming death of SYNC.
