I gotta say no complaints with my mid-trim XLT. It’s nicer than any car I’ve ever owned.

Alot of people probably won’t agree but I always get whatever engine and driveline (in this case 5.0, 4x4, 3.73) and forgo some of the creature comforts

That looks like a 2021 interior. Or is it a 2023? Looks like the dual zone display shows temp.

Walk away and look for the truck that you want somewhere else.

Those don’t seem like commodity deletes. You sure your dealer didn’t screw up the ordering?

I'm not 100% sure but it really feels like that. Does anyone on here have a way of checking if i give them my VIN?

IMHO Paying MSRP or worse, paying over MSRP, is asking to be ripped off. If there were no other options that would be one thing, but there are other options as long as you can wait.

He is my order:

MSRP = $68,945 at time of order.
Invoice = $64,321.
-3% off invoice total = $62,303.
I signed the order sheet for $62,303.
10-11 months later, just waiting for the truck to get shipped to Granger. There were 2 or 3 price increases along the way.
MSRP now for the truck = $73,000.
After Ford Incentives at the time of ordering I will be paying about $60K for a $73K MSRP truck. Worth the wait and drive to Iowa all day every day. I could not pay 73K for a new truck and would have to stick with my 2009 Tacoma were it not for Granger. Every dealer in my area is MSRP and they are telling me how lucky I am to be paying only MSRP and I would be a fool to walk away from their offer. I walked away and walked to Iowa.

Good luck with your decision.
Does the dealer in Iowa get better deals? This is the first time I've ever purchased a brand new vehicle and figured any dealer could order what i wanted for the same price since i just figured they were all the same and its the only way to order a truck since i can't but it directly from the plant (wish i could)

Can you generate a window sticker yet? A force delete by ford would be shown on it as a delete.

anything else feels like dealer forgot or just took it off without asking

Yeah it doesn't say deleted anywhere. Packages are just missing... so I'm guessing they just didn't add them. and i built the same truck today on the ford website and its now $6,600 more and that's not including the higher sales tax ill have to pay or my interest rate going from 2.9% up to 4.9%...

They get the same deals they just choose not to take full advantage of the global situation/shortages reverting to old "supply plus demand determines the price". Thus they are not going for the kill. They make far less on each truck but choose to make their money on volume. Also there will be a time in future when supply is not the issue it is now and I'm sure their (Granger) Ford allotments will be higher due to moving higher volume. They are also selling the ESP extended warranties for about 1/2 the price most dealers charge.

You should contact them and ask for Chip. He will take good care of you. Let them quote a build for you and see for yourself for a new 2023. Good luck.

Window stickers are pointless…

my window sticker says my truck is a 4X2. Prices are all showing for a 4X4 When I called and talked with the dealer, their paperwork, invoices and billing all indicated 4X4.

they found other discrepancies as well with the ford websites as well.

It’s a flawed program.

This isn't entirely true. Manufacturers provide rebate to dealers based on volume sold. The more volume, the larger the rebate per vehicle. They do this to offset the fact that the Internet made finding invoices easy. So invoice is kinda a bs thing now, because it's not what the dealership actually pays in total for that vehicle.

Granger's business model therefore is to sell as many vehicles as they can to maximize that rebate. They accept a smaller profit margin per vehicle and combine that with their lower cost per vehicle to entice more customers to buy from them. And I fucking love them for doing it.

They are not all the same, contact chip at granger motors. I flew to Iowa from new jersey to pick up my truck from them. Paid more than $10k under MSRP for the truck. It was an 8 month wait, but so worth it as nobody near me would sell under MSRP. Not to mention they also provide the easiest hassle free purchase process ever. Highly recommend them.

I know the excitement for the new truck, but I wouldn't accept that vehicle. And I know losing the financing sucks, but there may be new incentives by the time your new order is ready. Worse case, paying a couple thousand extra in interest whole saving a lot more than that on the price is well worth it.

I ordered a 2022 XLT in Feb. It got delivered in mid-October. I already knew they had deleted the Ford Co Pilot 360 assist 2.0 and XM Radio/Navigation. I found this out by watching the process and Window Sticker via the Ford emails. The salesman never contacted me, not sure what I would have done. Was I gonna wait another 10 months? It is double crappy cause the amount of credit given for the XM-Nav delete was only $200, ?cause it was part of the XLT High Option?. Adding an OEM XM radio on a 2020 is $400 just for the XM radio parts! I will use my XM App and Google Nav on Android Auto so I can live with it (Assuming I have cell service for the XM App), but I still think I got ripped. The Ford Co Pilot 360 assist 2.0 still chaps my butt! That feature was just deleted on the Window sticker, I had to find it out my checking closely for all my add ons.
There are features on these new trucks that draw us to them, if we wanted an no feature pickup, we could have kept our old pickups. Ford has lost a lot of customers over this and their dealers charging too much over retail!

BTW: I am not sure that Ford tells the dealers when it does this?
