Basically take your current mileage and subtract the warranty is what FP told me. If you have 30k miles and this is 36k warranty you got 6k left or some crap

lol also says this when hooking up the Procal

Livernois…

Some quick impressions and things I noticed right off the bat.

So I was told by FP that it resets the trans so it can relearn with the new calibration but so far it’s been smooth as butter in the 20 min drive I just did.

Secondly, that instant torque is noticeable big time. Before under normal driving boost didn’t pick up til 2500-3000 but now it’s it’s like there’s boost always there. Especially down low. I know the dyno graph shows that but I’m seeing with the boost gauge on the instrument cluster show that boost is instantaneous below 2500RPM so yeah you definitely feel that.

Thirdly, the boost gauge on the dash just shows 0-20. I’ve mashed the pedal a few times but have never seen the blue bar hit 20…yeah I’m definitely maxing that out.

Didn’t get a pick while driving but I saw 21.2psi at one point.

Yup. It's 100% Livernois hardware, and probably tune as well, with Papa Ford's stamp of approval.
The FP part numbers are the same as Livernois part numbers for the bronco if I'm not mistaken, was checking into this the other day.

Next up: someone who has a few bucks burning a hole in their wallet please go dyno their truck stock and then tune with FP and see what the curves look like in real life, not what FP published. Same day, same tank of gas, same tires etc etc.

LFG on the 2.7 F150 tuning! If you are doing Bronco you can do us too!

The 2.3 is already quite strong. How much more are they boosting it and what are your thoughts regarding longevity?

If I had a 2.3 it would be tuned. Not sure by who but it would be tuned! I don’t have any experience with tuning the ecoboost platform . I did however have my 2009 F150 tuned by MPT, 5 star, VMP and SSI. Although the power gains were minimal on the 5.4 they all certainly and positively cleaned up the shifting. The 93 octane performance tune from MPT was the strongest but I couldn’t tow with it . The 5* 91 tow tune was overall the best tune to use year around since I used to tow often. That truck was tuned 14.5 years out of the 15 years I had it and I never had an issue.

Sorry for the ramble but I don’t fear getting my 2.7 tuned by a reputable outfit. Ideally I’d like a selection of tuners to choose from but I have no idea when that will be available. If Ford Performance/Livernois issues tunes for my 2.7 I’ll be first in line .

Maybe FP tune users can answer a couple questions.

1. Does this calibration go through the OBD2 port?

2. Can you go back to stock tune with this?

3. Change tire size?

4. How is highway passing power now?

Thanks!

TEMPTING.... a 13 flat dragy quarter does beat expectations. I'm guessing they cut us some slack on the accel+brake torque limits with that '60?? Hopefully they treat 24+ owners to a tune eventually, though I read on the raptor subreddit that the 24s (Raptors specific?) have smaller turbos. Maybe in 3 years.

I've been lurking these forums for a while and thought I'd finally contribute. I had the Ford Performance calibration installed on my 3.5 EB a week ago and here are my thoughts on it (skip to the bottom for a summary of the details below):

-There is a noticeable throttle response improvement, mainly in sport mode. Normal mode also seems a bit more responsive but there is not as big of a difference. ECO mode feels the same and I hardly ever use any of the other modes.

-The truck feels more torquey and snappy down low (again, primarily in sport mode), however, once you get above about 4k RPMS it doesn't feel much different.

-Shifting seems a little more crisp but this may honestly just be a placebo affect. I feel like my truck specifically has always shifted a little rough in gears 1-4. In normal mode it still feels like it hesitates to choose between going from 1-2 or 1-3 during normal commuting speeds unless I smash the pedal or drive more aggressively. Sport mode, again, feels pretty good going through the gears as it actually goes through all the gears instead of deciding whether to skip 2nd or not.

-The transmission does hold the gears longer. Normal mode will still shift up to 10th in normal city driving (40-45mph). Sport mode holds 5th gear at the same speeds, whereas if I remember correctly, it would previously shift into 6th or 7th at the same speeds. In 5th gear, I feel like it stays in a range where the power is readily available (about 2300 RPMS).

-I haven't had much highway driving time as my normal work commute is all surface streets, however, I did get on the highway for a few minutes to test it out. It seems to downshift to the proper gear and gets up and goes more than it previously would when passing. I still need to do more highway testing though.

-I'm currently averaging about 12.5 MPG. This is mainly due to the fact that as I mentioned previously, 90% of my driving is city driving. Truck is also lifted on 35 inch tires and has the front air dam removed plus full skid plates which add quite a bit of weight. I haven't noticed a change in MPG yet (positively or negatively).

Overall, I would say sport mode has the most noticeable difference and the truck feels more lively in the lower RPM range. This calibration will by no means make this a fast truck. It is still a ~6000 LB truck. That being said, I don't regret installing it and will continue testing over the next couple weeks to answer any questions anyone might have who is on the fence about getting this installed.
You must have a lead foot, even the raptor is rated for better mpg than that LOL

1. Yes, calibration is straight through OBD2
2. Both the stock and performance tune are on the approval
3. It says you can and I did. Haven’t checked if accurate.
4. Highway passing power is there

Wish I could post a video…but there’s a high pitch noise I never noticed before when I get on it

There are some posts about intake snorkels collapsing under higher loads. I picked up the torq snork from Cobb.

Complete shot in the dark!

I’ve heard that too. I did the cut shroud thing already as well.

I do have the Cobb intake holder thing but haven’t installed it yet. I know how many feel about intakes but honestly wondered if I should grab one or just the Cobb snorkel
