Ford OEM power running boards install a plug-n-play?

Hello all I am looking to take the power boards off of my 2023 lariat and putting them on my 2025 lariat. Can I swap the DSM between the two and perform the Forscan changes necessary to enable/disable power running board functionality, respectively, and expect everything to work properly?

I intend to make my own harness or if its simple enough to take the harness from the 2023.

Also can someone indicate the necessary forscan changes? I know DSM and APIM (I think) but which lines exactly I am uncertain of.

Edit: I think I figured this out. The modules would be interchangeable but for the power telescoping steering wheel because that is also tied into the DSM which my 25 does not have and so the 2025 DSM probably won’t be compatible with that feature on the 2023. So will just have to buy a DSM. Finally made sense of the wiring as the PRBs connect to multiple connectors on the DSM.

I think I figured out the forscan stuff but won’t know til I try.

First post here. I recently purchased a 23 Lariat with the 502a package. The package includes the heated and cooled seats. I have found a set of PRB from a 22. What parts exactly do I need to complete my project. Ive read through the entire thread but most if not all posts pertain to adding PRB to an xlt that doesnt have the features that I already have. Thanks for everyones help.

You could just swap DSM but since the trucks aren't like for like as you said, would have to make sure the everything still worked for power column. As new DSM might just be easier, then just copy your current 25 DSM asbuilt over to the new one and make the changes to enable PRBs.

Did you end up wiring straight into the DSM connectors if your seat harness wasn't wired for PRBs?

You'd need all the same parts really as an XLT, if you don't have PRBs from the factory, nothing is there for them really. You'll even need the right DSM as well most likely and since you have a 23, even the seat harness most likely doesn't have the wiring for it either.

Do you by chance have part numbers for the dsm and all the necessary parts to complete it. I have the factory boards already.
