Ford Canada EGHR notice

I am posting this here to figure out what exactly EGHR is and if Ford Canada is trying to place a stiffer emission control device or simply trying to be proactive with a faulty part.

I got one of those today as well. The wording is kind of funny in that they are happy to replace it if required and I’m within certain conditions

Is this same as EGR? @Fox146 do you happen to have a oil separator such as the J&L?

Correction: It is different than EGR. EGR valve is the exhaust gas recovery valve and EGHR is exhaust gas heat recovery.

No I don’t have a separator. My truck is a 21 with 36k on it, so we’ll see what happens

Does the letter reference Campaign# 24N04 (another post with a similar letter lists this number), that's been showing up on my dashboard on Ford.ca with this title/description " 2021-23 F150 and maverick fhev elevated warranty rates ". This is listed as a "Customer Satisfaction Program" If this is the campaign listed, thanks for posting the letter, I'd been wondering what it was all about.

I'm also seeing on my dashboard (23 PowerBoost) a campaign a 24E04 Recall, with the description of " 2022-2023 model year F-150 hybrid electric vehicles hev equipped with a 3.5L powerboost engine powertrain control module pcm reprogramming and catalytic converter replacement if required " This one has only appeared in the last couple of days.

Hi Everyone,


Last July 17, 2024, I got an engine light on the dash and my mobile App said to contact the service dealer immediately. I got my 2023 F-150 Powerboost brand new last Feb this year and it hasn't gotten any service work on it, so it is my first time bringing this truck for service. I book online at one of the nearby Ford dealerships and put a note on the reason for booking the appointment: Recall
Campaign# 24E04. Call them today to confirm my booking before heading to the dealership the person said it was all good. I drove my truck and when I got there the service counter person said there was no fix yet for this recall and I needed to wait for a letter or another mail from Ford that the fix was ready.

I wasted my time going to the dealership for nothing. Why did Ford put a note on the APP I need to call the dealership immediately when the dealership doesn't have a fix yet for this recall? Has there been no fix yet for this recall? Today my engine light is clear and my health on the App is healthy.

I live in Alberta Canada and I also received this in ford app as well. Called the dealership and as usual they don’t know what it is. Ford don’t have the parts for this also which they expecting the parts in 4quarter of this year. But so far no parts available. So I ask if I should be worried or rather what should I be keeping an eye on. The service department from the dealership said that if there is a light on the truck then it needs replacement but according to her this is something to do with the emission and if there is no light on dashboard then your fine. But once the part is available it is mandatory to replaced it either you have the light or not. This is what I got so far.
