I guess the question on whether to pay $600 to renew BC comes down to how much use one gets out of it..

I drive well over 50 miles every day on BC enabled highways during rush hour.. So for me, BC is incredibly useful.. Takes a lot of stress out of driving on busy highways, especially in stop and go traffic..

I currently have BC 1.0 which can definitely use improvements on not hugging the right side of the lane.. Looking forward to 1.3 that is supposed to fix these issues..

I typically only take 1 long highway trip per year, might make more sense to pay the $75 as needed in my situation, especially if there's a chance my 21 won't be getting 1.3.

Exactly! As I said the decision would be based on usage.. If you do just one trip a year, $75 for a month would be a far better investment than paying $600..

While the monthly option is rather high, it is good that such an option exists for people with requiments like yours..

If you pay the $600 to extend it out for 3 years does it follow the VIN or the owner? IE) if you sold it, could you sell it as "having BlueCruise for the next few years" etc.

The $75.00 per month is just an incentive to buy the subscription. I doubt anyone would buy a monthly plan.
They're probably betting that some folks will take this option if they know they have a long road trip coming up where it would be valuable.

BlueCruise Connected Service term with regular map updates begins
My guess is this is more talking about the map updates for where BC is available vs the navigational maps.

I've received the same email. I have until Dec 31. My only issue is that I never get hands free. Only hands on wheel. Dealer can't seem to help me....so frustrating. I'm pretty update on OTA just received 6.3.0 a few days ago. I do not want to lose blue cruise but if I'm going to pay $600 dollars, I want it to work properly.

I saw on another thread about TSB 23-2122 maybe back to the dealer and ask them to run this?

My Build 1 truck was in the shop for right at 5 months of the first 14 months that I owned it. Was offered reimbursement for excess expenses renting other vehicles, but Ford never came through.
>Primary problem was the sudden loss of power at highway speed that triggered three states to open class-action lawsuits against Ford. I finally got it fixed during a one-month stay (29 days in the parking lot, two in the shop) and have had no issues since. Guess the threat finally moved them to fix a widespread problem. But about 2 years late.
>Blue Cruise problems were an early complaint. Never improved, I could have hit tractor-trailers dozens of times had I not intervened. Ping-pong and all. No 1.3 fix and pay more, for what?
>The transmission has never been right and has always overheated while towing, puking trans fluid and telling me to make an immediate stop. After several incidents they replaced the trans cooler and solenoid, but it isn't fixed yet, it overheated on a steep grade with four onboard, no trailer. I'm just too busy to force the issue by showing up with a heavy (12,000#) trailer and proving it is still defective. But I will soon.
>There have been numerous other faults, and Ford, while communicating with me after I complained on this site, has failed miserably to make good on a $78K truck. I bought this used from a dealer so no Lemon Law relief was available. With 70K miles now, at least I have the 150K mile warranty I bought because I figured they would not have this truck sorted out before selling them. Early adopter guinea pig because Ford didn't get Job One done right and won't step up and make it right now. I have owned a dozen Fords, this truck isn't like the rest. Got that Ford?

I just received the following email from Ford regarding my blue cruise expiring.

Just gotta think like the Ford executive who is charge of the "special one-time discounted rate" promotion campaign. If the majority of people say NO then the promo campioaghn fails and they backup and try something better (lower ) or (1.3 upgrade launches sooner). Remember, nearly 100% of the revenue from the takers of the "special one-time discounted rate" offer goes directly to the bottomline. And, if the promo doesn't work, they will either lower the price more and/or do the upgrade sooner to "sell" something new and improved.

My truck was a special order placed during COVID when there was no inventory. BC was new at the time so there was some concern as to whether it would be BC “ready” or fully functioning.

Looking at the window sticker there is nothing that says this is a subscription service. I was totally surprised when I received the truck when they told me BC was a subscription service. Anyone else have this experience?

I use it on long road trips and really want the updates promised in 1.3. Never expected that they would not update the truck, all literature available indicated that on air updates were a positive feature on the vehicle.

I have not received the email on my subscription ending yet, but since it is a 2021 I will have to make a decision soon. $600 offer is tempting, but disappointed in Ford not updating system in three years.

I never got an email regarding BC for my Job 1 '21. The notification of BC expiring 12/31/23 is on the Ford Owners site and in Ford Pass. Look under connected services.
