Hey all, I don't want to step on any toes here, so let me know if I'm crossing a line, but I was feeling out any interest in another option for the mount.

I make a bunch of these with the smaller rotary shifter for the Lightnings and had someone reach out to have me make one for the ICE trucks.

You can find my current stuff on:
https://polymerbuilt.etsy.com
or
www.polymerbuilt.com

Here's a couple pictures of the prototype I made for the customer request:

The finish on these looks outstanding! I have not done mine yet so this could be an option if you decide to make them! Good luck!

I keep bouncing this mod in and out of my mind...i cant figure out if id be happy long term but the idea of being able to use my work table and drive makes me want to do this haha
This is a great looking part!

as mentioned above, those ledges can this be made without them to give a little more space in the cubby part?

That's a very nice looking piece. (y)

Just curious, is there a particular reason for the 'ledges', rather than having the front and sides run straight down from the top, resulting in a slightly larger cubby?

Great question and there's a couple reasons:
  1. The bottom of the cubby is about the max I can make it due to the angle on the outside of the driver side and back walls. I just ran the walls up vertically after hollowing out the bottom to max size.
  2. IP/Copyright of the Manion design. I've already been through one copyright take down through Etsy that went nowhere other than keeping my stuff in Etsy jail for like 3 weeks. I need to keep this design just distinct enough. I'd like to keep both Etsy as one of my outlets, so I will continue to keep things a little different in case there is ever any legal follow-up.

AH! Great point. Is there a plug that covers that bolt hole in the cubbie that keeps the same finish as the unit itself? Again, looks outstanding.

Yeah, that first step in the hole is for a plug. It will sit flush if anyone ones to cut a mat or liner for the bottom and it will have a tab that can be used to grab it out. The first one I printed was too tight, need to get around to printing a new one to show.

Hey, thanks! I'll get some listings up over the weekend. I'm finishing up some prints for the Lightnings over the next couple days. I'll need to print off versions of this in both PETG and ASA materials for the listing options.

Need some sunlight here in Michigan so I can get good natural light pics....

I couldn’t wait for PolymerBuilt listing to go live lol. Since I already finished printing mine and after 83 hours of patiently waiting lol I figured I would share.
I printed it in ASA with a 0.2 mm nozzle, 0.06 layer height and 15 percent infill. It came out really clean and the layer lines are barely noticeable.
I notched the sides to fit the tabs and secured it with one screw which gets covered by the top trim piece.
I will probably reprint it later and integrate the side openings into the design to make it cleaner and I might plug the charger holes too.
Overall I am really happy with the switch and I should have done this a long time ago.

If only I had room for more printers so I could have started earlier! j/k

Print looks good. How long did it take at those settings? I'm at 11-11.5 hours with a 0.4mm nozzle and 0.2mm layer height.

I am so glad that I found this thread. After reading through all of the information, I ordered the rotary shifter and the steering wheel. I got it all installed today and love how it turned out. Now, I am just waiting on Boosted GreyGoose to have more paddle shifter harnesses available so that I can get those working.

On EDIT: I think you have paddle shifters which is why I'm unable to locate this color combo for my needs. Are paddle shifters easily retrofittable?

I need this steering wheel please.

If you could tell me EXACTLY where it came from with these options (i.e. 2021+, no paddle shifters, heated & BLUE) I'd greatly appreciate it.

I literally ordered the same wheel from Amazon 2 hours ago but it's red thread and centered leather and it will clash with my Limited.

Thanks!

Well let me know when you are ready lol.

it took 83 hours for the bin and 7 hours for trim piece. but I think this was overkill, for the reprint I will reduce the settings a little.

It's not heated, and I got it from ebay. It has the paddle shifters, but you will need the harness from a Raptor wheel that has them. It does not come with the harness. I ended up buying a Raptor wheel, robbed the harness and will put that wheel up for sale.

0.16 layer height with a 0.4mm nozzle is perfectly fine. Use a glass or carbon fiber filament and it will hide all the layer lines.

Ok - it's live on my Etsy and website.

Not sure how long the Etsy will last. I see Manion/Dusty is trying to patent these and the Lightning versions so his takedowns will stick.

Just looking for confirmation for the correct shifter for my truck with the newest updated parts

With 40 pages of thread and dozens of part numbers I’m looking for confirmation that the newest updated expedition shifter is backwards compatible with My 2023.

currently planning on purchasing PolymerBuilts expedition unit and he lists it working with LL1P-7P155-AD but the issue is that, that unit is almost impossible to source.

will LL1Z-7P155-K work with a 2023 and his unit?

From what I think I understand so far is that LL1Z-7P155CB will work but is now obsolete and has been replaced with the newer updated parts”K” ?
