Greetings from the Czech Republic, I have a 2021 XLT and the DRL in the passenger side fog light stopped working. It stopped without any flickering. The pigtails in the connector look ok, I found out that pins 2 and 4 are supposed to be for the DRL. There is 12V on pin 4 but only 6V on pin 2, is that okay?

I have attached a picture of the connector pin layout of the right front fog light. It appears 4 is ground, pin 3 is your daytime running light circuit. Should have 12v or higher. If it’s running it’ll have around 13.5-14.5 depending upon alternator output. Sorry if it’s a not so great picture it’s from the shop tablet.

The DRL voltage is PWM so it will vary off brightness. Since you have a 21, 100% chance the DRL has just failed, so just get a new fog light. Or take the one off the other side, and plug it in here just to check.

Can you do me a solid and look to see what the other side FOG DRL wire color is? I need to tap into that wire on both sides for my new fogs DRL to be amber.. Looks like Pass side is going to be Violet colored..

No problem.

Looks like DRL wire will be gray/red wire.

What do you mean by turn it off?
If it’s not working than you can’t really turn it off. You can’t really stop voltage going to it. Excepted unplugging the light or pulling fuse, which in these trucks is most likely going to affect other things. Two options, could live with it ours or replace it.

No, the DRL circuit is both the headlight and fog, so it would be all or nothing if you disable it that way. Only way really would be to pull the wire.
