First accident

I drove shitboxes for 20 years, never had a wreck, finally buy a new truck and someone ran a red light and hit me. Taking it to a body shop tomorrow to see if the insurance estimate of about $3k is accurate. Overall I definitely lucked out and the truck seems to have taken the hit pretty well, it's still drivable and the doors still open and close fine.

Sorry to hear it, nothing worse. Had my 21 Ranger less than 6 months and a 16 year old rear ended me. but thats why we pay insurance, my experience ended up good and hopefully yours does too.
In the end they are just trucks and can be repaired or replaced. it sucks being without while its at the shop for sure tho.

That’s sucks and I’m glad you’re ok. Take her to a reputable body shop and let them do what they do. Fortunately it doesn’t look too terrible. My wife’s 2019 F-150 was rear ended last December, got fixed, then had a tree fall on it in July. Truck is fixed and driving along like nothing happened. I hope this is your first and last time having to deal with something like this. Again, glad you’re ok.

Sorry. I hope the repair goes smoothly.
The reason I have a new F150 is because a crack-head hit my brand new 2022 4Runner, didn’t even have 500 miles. The truck he was driving wasn’t his, no insurance and he drove away! I got pictures of him for the cops and it was all on camera.
I couldn’t get over the anger of the whole situation so I bought the Ford.
Sooooo much happier now!

A piece of you dies when this happens. I am honestly so worried when driving around and parking my truck where I can't monitor it like a hawk. A lot of LAMEass people everywhere who don't respect other people's property. Good luck with the repairs....and I am sorry you have to go through that!!!!
