I guess I'm more annoyed (that might be a bit strong) by the fact that it's using a micro USB connector on the device instead of USB-C. I don't know when the SuperGoose was first released, but (ideally) nothing released in the last couple of years should have anything other than USB-C. Yes, this the worthless rant of an tech and IT guy. :)

I could have converted it using an adapter as I have them, but my laptop has a single USB-A port I was able to use for the connection. Since the truck has USB-C, and my laptop has three of those, a matching thumb drive worked quite well for the updates that needed that.

If you were annoyed by the micro USB on the Supergoose, you'd have been apoplectic over the Mongoose, which uses a USB B and thumbscrews to secure it--the same kind of connection old printers used to use.
