I did my last round of update via FDRS just under a month ago, and had none left at that time (except for the known issue of the ACM one which won't clear out and the BCM).
With my license getting ready to expire I thought I'd run a quick update to catch anything new. One of the new ones is...
Mine did the same thing to me last week when the temps dropped. I pulled out of my driveway slowly, the engine revved to 3-4k RPM before I realized it wasn't really moving, then it slammed into 3rd really hard. Seemed to slip a bit on the next shift, then a bit less on the one after that, and...
I guess I'm more annoyed (that might be a bit strong) by the fact that it's using a micro USB connector on the device instead of USB-C. I don't know when the SuperGoose was first released, but (ideally) nothing released in the last couple of years should have anything other than USB-C. Yes...
It looks like it was the USB cable that came with the SuperGoose. I have a couple of USB testers and it exhibited weird behavior on both of them, and since it's a bog standard mini USB cable (for $1k they couldn't spring for USB-C?), I replaced it, rolled the dice that it really was the source...
I thought about that. I figured I would wait till the regular Mongoose arrives to make sure it works with that one, then let Opus support know about the failure with the SuperGoose.
Excellent - thanks for the info.
I've ordered a regular Mongoose, but it won't be here until Thursday. I might try the unbricking procedure with the SuperGoose in the meantime.
Even the SuperMongoose-Plus, which one would assume is an upgrade over the regular Mongoose since it can do more than just a single manufacturer?
It's crazy to think that I need to go down to spending ~$600 on the regular Mongoose over the $1000 I have in the Super version. No doubting you -...
So the IPMA update hung at the exact same point as before. In total it sat there for almost 6 hours before I cancelled it.
At this point the truck is throwing a ton of errors, and in FDRS the IPMA module is purple, and a number of other modules are orange. Not sure how big of an issue these...
I let it sit there and munch away for another 2 hours, but eventually cancelled it as it was getting late (11:45pm).
I'm running the IPMA update again now, so I'll update this in 2-3 hours.
I've been working on upating my truck using a SuperGoose Plus and I swear it's been working on the same file for the IPMA module for over 2 hours now. It's been working on the overall IPMA updates for at least 3 hours. The progress bar does move, but as mentioned hasn't deviated from this same...
