Hi all,
I recently purchased a 2019 F-150 3.5 with 8" Nav screen. When I first went to do a master reset so I could setup Fordpass it would not let me do one. I disconnected the battery for 15-20 mins and then it allowed me to reset it, But during the process something failed and now the screen is black. The backup camera still works, and only the volume works on the radio.
I took it to a local dealer and they told me that it might be the APIM that failed and to replace it at $1300. And that might not be the only issue.
I have tried disconnecting the battery again, tried doing a reboot holding the power and forward button on the radio, it goes to reset showing the ford logo and then goes back to the black screen.
Any ideas on what caused this and possible fixes? I do have forscan and a vlinker adapter.
