My 23 5.5’ bed Crew Cab does not turn nearly as tightly as my 10 Crew Cab Tacoma did. But the Tacoma didn’t turn as tightly as the 85 Jeep Wrangler it replaced. Life is all about change. FWIW the F150 has the best ride of the three.

The 360° cameras and various sensors are a big help and backing in or pulling thru parking so you start out going straight ahead just makes life easier.

Just drive it. In parking lots it’s easy to turn too sharp and have the rear roll up on the curb. If you ever use a parking garage, be careful around the columns. You want to turn later to the rear is even or past the column.
Stopping distances are longer than in a car. Especially in the wet.

The F150 has pretty poor turning radius so you will have some challenges coming from a tiny car. You will have to do 3 point turns where you normally wouldn’t need to and parallel parking in tight spots will require more skill.
I beg to differ. An F-150 has the tightest turning radius of any vehicle in it's class. It even has a tighter turning radius then a Nissan crew cab frontier. While he may have challenges coming from a tiny car the turning radius difference will only be because he's used to a tiny car. I rarely have to do three-point turns. If he needs to do a three-point turn it's only because he's not used to the size of the vehicle and not because of the capabilities of the F150.

Well I must be pretty spoiled because the Tacoma crew cab I had before had a much better turning radius.

everyone says the F150 has poor turning radius and you are like the first one who said otherwise.

Like a BMW 2 series? Lolol! I used to have an M3 so I know how nimble and precise those things are. An F150 is kinda the opposite.
BUT for its size and capability, I think it drives and handles very well. I get about the same mileage as I got in my M3 (granted that was 20yrs ago) and it's just a different tool for a different life.
360 camera was the best money I ever spent. I live in a town with pretty tight parking all over, the cameras are life/body savers.
Enjoy! Occasionally I miss the old Beemer but life moves on and I've been loving the f150. Couldn't do THIS (well, not easily anyway):

It’s the wheelbase! I had to really slow it down when maneuvering in close quarters. Think about your turns ahead of time. I don’t just park anywhere. I choose my spots more deliberately now. 360 cameras help me look so much better at it than I really am lol

I guess most disagree with me…..then again I took my drivers test in an F-350 long bed crew cab and that’s what dad taught me to drive in. To me the F-150 is a little guy.

The Tacoma is not in the same class as an F150. The original poster is discussing his F150. I would guess if you are used to driving mini trucks like the Tacoma then the F150 would have a turning radius that sucks.
My 2023 4WD Crew Cab F150 with a 145.4 wheel base has a 23.9' turning radius.
A 2024 2wd Tacoma with a 131.9 wheel base has a turning radius of 22.9'

So. with 13.5 " of longer wheel base I am loosing 12" of turning radius. That equals roughly 1.125" of wheelbase length per 1" of Turning radius. Now using that ratio If the Tacoma had the same wheel base then its turning radius would be closer to 24.5'.

My H3 has a 111.9” wheelbase and I can whip that thing around easily. Backing up a trailer though it wants to jackknife constantly and is not nearly as smooth and elegant. Going down the interstate is more like driving a roller skate lol

3-point turns are a piece of cake with such light steering in my 157"wb with a 51-foot kerb-to-kerb... after all, isn't that what other peoples' driveways are for??
