F0RScan in North GA

Looking to install OEM bed lights in bed of '23 Lariat but understand I will need FORScan to make them work. Anyone around north GA (Dawsonville, Forsyth, Pickens, Dahlonega etc.) have the program they would be willing to help and earn some cash or is this something a shade tree mechanic can download and code myself?

Trying to get everything in line before ordering the parts.

Spoke with someone who works at a Ford dealership and they don't know anything about the lights not working without FORScan, was told they should be plug and play (go figure...smh).

Besides purchasing and downloading the program on my computer, what other devices/gadgets would I need to purchase to hook up computer to truck? Thanks for the info!
