F-150 Fuel Tank Sizes

The technical specifications show that the gas only F-150s have 23, 26, and 36 gallon fuel tanks available.

There is also an asterisk stating that is dependent on the configuration of the truck.

I know the 36 gallon is optional, and comes with the max tow package. What determines if the truck comes with the 23 or the 26 gallon tanks? Particularly in regards to the SuperCrew body style.

I think regular cab short beds get the smaller tank.
the diesel trucks may also require the smaller tank due to having a DEF tank as well

There is also a 30 Gal tank for the Powerboost as its extended range gas tank not the 36 Gal

They get the 30.6 gallon tank by default because of the hybrid motor and battery. I’m quite certain there is no other option.[/QUOTE]
