I had a '19 XLT that went into deep sleep mode about 25-30 times the first few months I owned it. It always started just fine and never gave me any problems...other than the FordPass app constantly stating the Deep Sleep thing. Come to find out...it was because I was parking my truck in my garage which has metal roof and walls, which didn't allow the truck to communicate thru the modem. The dealership even replaced the battery although there was nothing wrong with it. They didn't have a clue what the problem was at the time. I think they have since changed something since I no longer have the problem...even with my '20 model. But I know for a fact that the metal garage was the culprit because I went on a week long trip out of town and my truck didn't enter deep sleep mode the whole time...but did when I got back home and parked in my metal garage again. I reported my findings to three different Ford dealerships and I'm sure they passed it on to FORD. Just an FYI.
Interesting. Wonder what it was about that metal garage?

It had to do with the truck no being able to communicate with "big brother Ford" I would imagine. I would assume it does this thru the modem.

I used my 2021 Lariat yesterday; normal day of running errands around town. Went to check my door locks via the FordPass app around 8:00 PM and saw my truck was in "Deep Sleep". Left it overnight and checked voltage this morning... 12.2 volts. Truck woke up and worked normally. I've got it on a 2 amp charger for the day. I would think 12.2 volts is around 60% capacity for this type of battery? At what voltage does the "Deep Sleep" kick in at?

My concern with an AGM type battery is the life expectancy being greatly reduced if it gets drawn down below 50%. I've only had the truck for about a month and it never sits for more than a day or two.

Thoughts?

Nearly one week removed from jump starting it out of Deep Sleep Mode. No additional issues thus far...

I had this happen a month ago. Had to get vehicle towed. Dealer replaced battery and performed the TSB. I just went to bed and happened to check Ford pass. It's in deep sleep mode. Drove it yesterday. Guess I'll get up and go try it.

Everything seemed normal. Started right up. Fun.

Define normal in terms of voltage measured at your battery?

I charged the battery yesterday to 13v completely disconnected from the truck. Let the battery sit for 2 hours with truck diconnected. Voltage was 12.88v. I put it back in the truck and measured 12.72v after 1 hour. This morning the battery showed 12.27v. I don't think it goes into deep sleep until 12.2v, but this is not normal.

Agree, Smackit. You appear to have a phantom draw on the battery. Normal capacity loss in a wet cell battery is ~1% per day.

Normal meaning the truck reacted to me walking up to it and starting it as usual. I didn't put a meter on it. That's something I wasn't planning on doing every day buying a new vehicle

She went into “Deep Sleep Mode” again after about two and a half days of sitting idle. Unlocked via key fob proximity and started up just now with no issues.

My wifes Escape Titanium goes into sleep mode if it hasn't been driven for a few days but it's never completely lost power like you described. I know your truck is only a few months old but I'd have the battery checked. Sometimes new batteries go bad fast.
My wife’s 20 expedition is on its third battery same symptoms as above. It sits 2-3 days at a time as well. Both other batteries were replaced under warranty. The second battery was bad in a week lol. I didn’t believe it was a battery at that point, but it was

Also hers would be so dead the alarm system would go off.

I was gone for 3 weeks and my truck went into Deep Sleep mode. I couldn't start it or communicate with it using Ford Pass. It started perfectly using the key when I returned, so it looks like they fixed the issue.
