Saw the post about the extended warranty prices going up by double digit percentage in April. I have a ‘24 and my Whipple stage 2 just came in today. With the electronics and everything else that can go wrong besides power train stuff, I’m debating if it’s still worth purchasing knowing that the engine, transmission etc won’t be covered. It appears that the cost is just over $2500 for a 10 year, 100k premium care package with lighting add on.
Also, any opinions on the service contracts? 3k for a 10 year, 100k full synthetic oil change at 5k program. I know with the Whipple it’s asking for 5w-50 full synthetic so don’t know if there’s a price difference between that and 5w-30 full synthetic. Do all the other items that are covered make it worth it?
I’ve never bought a service contract like this before. I have bought the lifetime oil changes before and came out way ahead. Not sure now that it’s 4 times more but covers pretty much all listed maintenance.
I do plan on keeping this truck for 10-12 years if everything goes to plan. Any input is appreciated.
